I meant this Livorno stuff. Their president said Botta was one of their young best players or something like that, and suddenly he's training with Inter.

maybe is our medical team that is taking care of him and we dont want to let him train there yet, so we're taking care of him until he gets fully recovered. very heartwarming, but also very amateur :D

Transfer fee: free transfer

I guess we have only used Livorno's NON-EU spot to register this guy, right? :D

I tought of that first since that guy looks exactly like Icardi, but then recalled he was injured and had surgery, so its not him.

Once he's fit he'll join Livorno and play there until at least January transfer window, but probably through the rest of the year.

JJM
20 Dec 13, 10:11
Now he could actually stay at Inter since Thohir doesn't seem to like the idea that he needs to pay his wages and he plays at Livorno so the Argentinian could actually be our "new" signing who is already here despite the agreement with Livorno.

If the rumors about Mazzari wanting to change to 3-4-3 are true we can use Botta on the wing.

Where the hell did this 3-4-3 thing come from? Did I miss an interview?

IMO even if he did say it, it's bullshit. His 3-4-3 will probably involve Alvarez as one of the front 3 and he will drop deep to defend so it'll basically be like he's playing AM.

Excited to see what we can get from Botta, haven't seen much (outside of YouTube), hopefully he can be a surprise. He at least looks explosive.

Ronaldo
03 Jan 14, 10:22
He should be loaned out. He is 23 and just got back from a long injury. He wont get any minutes at Inter and he hasn't got much time for development. He needs to leave somewhere he can play regularly.

TMW:He is an Inter player in full now but Torino wants half of him in the D'Ambrosio deal but Inter doesn't want do that. They just want to give him on loan.

I want him to stay and that Walt gives him a chance

wishful thinking I fu know but he is 23 already not 19 to loan him out.He needs the big time games now!

thatdude
07 Jan 14, 18:17
I think the loan is due to him returning from such a serious injury and not being name Milito. If I've learned anything watching inter these years, first impression is HUGE determining factor for your career at the club. It's better he go get minutes and adapt than come to Inter and flop in front of the Meazza.

Also, shouldn't this guy be in our regular players section? He is not loaned or co-owned at the moment.

From a guy who writes for fcinter1908 and is a scout.

Botta is potentially a great player. It is also something that Mazzarri needs, short, fast, dynamic, passing, shooting, dribbling etc But Italy's play style and mentality are very tough to deal with. So it will depend how quickly he will adjust.

So I guess something like Papu Gomez

I really have a good feeling about Botta. His dribbling alone and the ability to create space for himself and be a teamplayer, assistman and most likely a gol threat (he's an attacker for us afterall), will speak for itself. In my opinion, he's much much better than the current Belfodil, in all aspects but one: height.

I think this is a little bit different though. Botta is closer to 24, he is not a kid and has been playing in the Argentine league for some time now. He is unproven in Serie A, but at least he's a real adult player that Mazzarri can work with. He is also the most similar thing in our squad to a Lavezzi so hopefully we can get something out of him...anything.

Copy-paste of my post in game thread:

For me he had promising debut. Was constantly looking for the ball, but it's obvious that rest of the team don't trust him much yet, so many times he didn't receive the ball despite the fact he was standing free. Also had one great first touch that let him made a shoot then, but unfortunately it's been blocked. Looks like speedy, dynamic winger, always looking for the key pass. Serie A is the league when you have very little place on the pitch, so probably he would need some time to adapt. But I have a good feeling about him.

COLPO DI MERCATO: BOTTA's AGENT:"BOTTA IS STAYING AT INTER where he can achieve his dream BECAUSE WM LIKES HIS COMMITMENT and we are happy to hear that".

http://www.fcinternews.it/focus/ag-botta-resta-all-inter-il-suo-sogno-mazzarri-138613

yeah...this is our colpo di mercato/coup biatches. I predict he is gonna be a good if not awesome here.I hope this words are true an he is not going to Torino...because that would depress the shit out of me even more

EDIT:

The agent has talked to Branca&Ausilio and they confirmed that he is gonna stay at Inter because the decision was unanimus from the mgmt and especially WM!

YES! YES! ME LIKE!:awwyeah:

Imagine...

-----Palacio
Botta-Kova-Ricky
-Taider-Guarin
D'Amb-JJ-Rolando-HC
--------Handa

oh wait we play 3-5-1-1 :oblivious:

but now he can change the formation if he trusts the guy and we also have Milito back

or ET should hire me because I make a better line up than him.
We have JJ and Rolando who are solid CB and we have D'Amb and HC who can play FullBacks and can defend
Taider and G can cover the back with their bull like attitude
and then we have a faptastick offence with Botta-Kova and Ricky feeding Palacio to score like a maniac!

and all ET has to do is give 2m to Torino for D'Ambrosio and I can lead the team to UCL no problem!

perfec ain't it!
now I'm in a bette mood tbh so JJM for da coach :yao:

He described himself as a winger that relies on technique and dribbling instead of physicality. In those terms he compares himself more to Di Maria than Lavezzi.
Paraphrasing what he said in the summer - he loves to assist and is not afraid of having to work really hard in defence.

Yeah, he described himself like Di Maria type of player. I've seen 2 full games of his and 1 half. Not really enough to judge.

Those that compare him to Ricky and how he did in Argentina, well Botta as far as I know is way more rated in his homeland, and he was wanted by few clubs badly. Cholo wanted him in atletico, Spurs wanted him, Roma wanted him, and i am not sure but i think arsenal too. THe stupid fuck chose us over them

I think his injury was the main reason why Tigre did not win that Copa Sudamericana. He played sometimes as a SS, sometimes as a wing, sometimes as a attacking midfielder... didn't watch him much, but made a lot of great goals from outside the box. And he's a good dribbler, so I have faith in him that he will do it well.

Botta came from a pretty serious injury himself. Not that I don't want to see him start over Milito for a game, then rotate the next game. That's simply not true, what is true that he lost every bit of spark that made the team get points at the start of the season. Partly due to his limitations, partly to do with Mazzarri, partly to do with the immobile players.

Wallace
13 Feb 14, 08:34
Yes, our team is not very used to back passes.

Usually we'd rather just hoof long balls to the opponent goalie rather than doing those back passes to maintain useless possession. As a result, our players aren't usually prepared to receive such pass, thus not only they are technically inept in controlling the pass, but they are also mentally unprepared for it.

It really shows how fledgling Botta is, it will take time for him to assimilate into our play. Guarin will be able to teach him how to pass the ball out of line to restart play.

Looks like Strama is still our Primavera coach :trolldad:
(Just joking he was quite good with those lads. Just awful when coaching the real deal)

Just realized he's 24! should we really be investing time and effort on him?

Umm what? you make it sound like 24 year olds don't improve

Especially since he came after very, very bad injury, in the hardest league for young players, and Mazzarri as coach.

Him having a part in the goal sounds good. He should at least play for the primavera team if he doesn't play for the first team.

Well, we're still investing time in developing Alvarez...

We are still investing time developing Guarin.

Oops, developing is the wrong word, more like praying something would work out for him.

he looked out of his depth whenever he played, I thought he was a youth player still l developing in terms of decision making and body strenght. but no, he's 24. sure he can improve but IMO won't be good enough for a club of this calibre. I expect we will loan him out end of season and he will fade out somewhere.
