Huh? Where did I insult a country? I think I only insulted Ibra.. aside from the fact that it was a joke, how is saying 'ghettos of Bosnia' insulting Bosnia? Even if the country doesn't have ghettos, I don't really see how that is an insult?

And uh, if you kick people in the face, doesn't that at least give an indication towards not having respect for other people? But maybe for Ibra there are special rules that say it's ok to kick people eh :finger:

His first year was on loan with Milan paying 75% of his wages (9m) and Barca paying the rest (3m).

From this year onwards we would make the first installment (8m) of the first three installments (for a total of 24m) with his wages reverting to 9m officially...

Considering he already betrayed Juventus to join Inter in the first place, did you expect anything else. Ibra himself has said he doesnt want to be a club icon or anything, so he is hardly a traitor when he never intended to be an Inter legend in the first place....

I can't believe Barca let him leave like that after paying 70 mill. Wasting money like that should be a crime.

Wasn't Guardiola the coach when Barca decided to offer the deal of the century? I mean he must have wanted him so bad. So WTF?

It's no secret that Pep's transfer ability is borderline moronic. I have never seen a manager who wasted as much money as he does. Caceres, Chygrynskiy, Ibra, Eto'o, Yaya Toure are some of the :palm: deal that I recall at the back of my head.

I don't think Yaya Touré was a flop at their first 11. He was good. And accepting an offer from 30 m of City isn't that bad :p

Pretty harsh Han but I understand that when you're as successful and revered from a sporting perspective, your mistakes are magnified...Remember, however, that Pep was a rookie manager with a lot of these transfers...You live & learn and he's done better after those first 2 seasons

Some are definitely his fault but some aren't either...Laporta & Txiki are to blame as well, particularly for the prices which Pep had little to do with

Samu, well, there's a long azz story associated with that one but most peeps just like to read the headlines on that one - it's far being a simplistic conclusion

Caceres was a disaster but he was the 2nd choice after Barca were rebuffed in their attempts for Garay...Ultimately he's about a €12 million loss...Similar with Hleb who was the 2nd choice after Zenit played games in the Arshavin transfer...2nd choice tends to be a fail most of the time

Cheesuz, while I liked him, was never a good fit...Just never had the pace or technical expertise to play as a CB for Barca...IMHO, Pep got enamoured with how well he played with Shakhtar in the CL tie with Barca - forgetting that you can't just switch sides and repeat the performances...€10 million loss

Yaya, as already mentioned was a success...Both on the pitch & in his transfer to City, €15 million profit

Henrique & Keirrison were failures but there's nothing that suggests these were Pep choices...They were purchased young and never played on a regulation roster for Barca which supports the notion that they were never his choice (See Laporta & Txiki)

And to focus just on the negatives is also to overlook the positives in his transfer choices...Keita, Maxwell, Adriano, Villa, Mascherano, Afellay, Pinto, Pique & Alves...Not to mention promoting Busquets, Thiago, Pedro & Fontas

We'll see how he does this summer but the new variable of course is Rosell who doesn't rush to overpay for a transfer - hence why Alexis & Cesc continue to drag out

These numbers are so poorly reported...Barca paid €46 million for Ibra which will eventually amount to a €22 million loss...A hefty loss no doubt but made worse simply because of the fallout between player & manager...I would imagine they would've recouped more of their original transfer fee had they been able to sell him properly...The Samu/Ibra mess was a complication that I'm sure, had Pep been able to do it all over again, would've sold Samu in '08 when he first arrived...Remember too, Ibra was a 2nd choice to Villa who could not be pried from Valencia that year

I can't believe Barca let him leave like that after paying 70 mill. Wasting money like that should be a crime.

Yes, it was 46m€ + Eto'o + further 5m€ for Hleb's refusal to join on loan. That's a healthy 51m€ + Eto'o :howler: I love to repeat it.

He looks like a little girl now, and he always was :) just look at him... Milan stuff have to bring make on game time, i heard zlatan gets mad if he dont have his masccara and flex taft on his hair:)

Im so glad that we sold this pussy

Tell me about it. Our midfield at the moment is our weakest point and we need atleast two reinforcements (ideally three) to be competitive in the CL. We need a LCM and a CAM because our current midfield roster is almost devoid of creativity and when you have a 35 yr old Seedorf as your most creative midfielder you know you got problems...

Boateng, as much as he wants to play at CAM, is NOT that and is more suited at RCM. But I really hope that this game shows the management that we really need reinforcements as our strikers no matter how world class are starved of service. This isnt any better reflected than our goals last season, of which almost 80% were scored by our striker quintet (Pippo, Ibra, Pato, Robinho, Cassano)

I don't think he made mistakes at Barca, he merely couldn't keep up with the constant motion offense - not many can I guess...But he's probably the most skilled big man in the game today...I never quite knew how much until he played for Barca so I definitely respect that in him

Fuck that. Going from Inter to Milan via his wonderfully successful attempt to win the CL with Barca is bad enough. If he had done it and just kept professional and neutral like he did when he came to us from gobbi, I wouldn't have minded so much, but since going to Milan he's been quite critical of us and even insulted Zanetti once. It's like he has a big grudge against us (probably cos of the while CL thing). To his credit he's played well against us but it's pretty funny how against his former team (gobbi) he was a useless shit but now with Milan, against his former team (us) he brings his game?

Fuck him. I hope it's not a serious injury because I wouldn't wish that on anyone but I hope he has an abysmal season.

The point I was trying to make is that Ibra is not the end all, be all of our attack. Milan has clearly shown that we can cope without Ibra as we have very good depth in our attack. Midfield maybe crappy, but our attack is still very good. You guys were more dependant on Etoo than we were on Ibra last season

He was out of form for almost the entire second half of the season, was missing for a lot of it. YET the only game we lost was against Palermo who have always been our bogey team in Sicily. Sure, the attack is much better with Zlatan but it isnt like we are crippled withoutt him like you guys are without Etoo. We destroyed you guys without him in the lineup (no offense) and the game clearly showed we can cope without Ibra. In fact, come this season Ibra would be rotated a lot so that he gets his rest and doesnt get burnt out yet I am very confident we will do just fine AS LONG as we get midfield reinforcements...

Ibrahimovic: I'm tired of football
October 5, 2011
Email Print
By ESPNsoccernet staff
AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has hinted that he is getting bored of football and is already looking forward to the day he retires.

http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/images/2011/0928/zlatanibrahimovic20110928_275x155.jpg
Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Has AC Milan deal until 2015
Ibrahimovic, who turned 30 on Monday, has enjoyed a glittering career and has won eight straight league titles in three different countries with five different clubs (including Juventus who had their's stripped), but now says his focus is shifting away from the game.

"Football is no longer burning inside me like back in the old days," Ibrahimovic told Il Corriere dello Sport. "I did not think about anything else and sometimes I didn't even go to school so that I could play. Now it is not like that, I'm interested in other things."

"It even takes a great deal of effort for me to play football with my kids in the garden - I now leave it to the babysitter."

The former Ajax, Juventus and Barcelona star has a contract with Milan that runs until 2015 but with his passion seemingly fading, Ibrahimovic has cast doubt over how long he will actually carry on playing.

"Today everything has become routine even though I still enjoy it, but you won't see me playing with white hair and I won't play on until the verge of destroying myself,'' he said. ''I won't be retiring soon, I'll play on for a while, but I want to retire when I am still at the top. That might not happen, but that is my objective."

His advancing years are also playing on the Sweden international's mind and Ibrahimovic admits he is no longer capable of doing some of things he took for granted.

"With age you have to care for yourself more," he said. "When I was young, if I felt any pain or had any problems then I could still shoot at goal from 40 metres away. That's not the case today. I have to take great care in my warm up before even kicking a ball. I'm getting old.

"I'm not kidding about my situation. I hate to say it, but I don't have the same determination as I had before and I enjoyed myself a lot more a few years ago."

Well, disappointing to read but, it true, can't say I'm entirely surprised either...Seems like an interesting person who speaks his mind, often letting his emotions get the best of him - although can't imagine too many will be happy he's said what he has said

He wasn't around for very long but I enjoy the player very much, a real character with a load of astounding skills for someone of his size...Hope he dazzles us all a bit longer but if the fire is gone, would be a shame...His fire is part of what makes him enjoyable to see out there

Many players go through this once reaching age 30.It's just something that happens.

It's not easy on the mental side or the physical side to play since being little kids till mid 30s or whatever is the average age of retirement.

If he is gonna retire, that is a great news. We know for some reason, once he left a club, the club won CL, except for Gobbi ofc bcs Gobbi could only win Serie B anyway. So, if he retires from Bilan, he is forever Bilan. Probably Bilan will never win CL anymore.

Mou calls Ibra to Madrid?
There are increasing reports Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s frustration at Milan is fuelled by Jose Mourinho calling him to Real Madrid.

The Swede has given several interviews recently expressing his boredom with football, training and the lack of hunger he now feels for success.

According to the Corriere dello Sport and other sources, Ibra is irritated at his failure to win the Champions League and believes he’s unlikely to achieve this at Milan either.

Mourinho has won the trophy with both Porto and Inter, but notably lifted the latter a year after Ibrahimovic had gone to Barcelona.

It’s claimed Mou is calling the striker to Real Madrid with promises of challenging for the European trophy.

He was one of my favourite players when he was here, especially in 08/09 season.. He scored a lot of marvellous goals. But have being played for 3 of my most hated clubs ever and talking shit about us, fuck him tbh.. But who cares, thanks to this guy we won the treble.

clearly he isn't that great of a coach

Pep last year vs Mou was pretty good for a coach who has been around 2-3 years..

I'm sure once Mou leaves Real, he'll tell us all about it. I had my doubts about Pep, but ever since the CL games against Real last season, I have newfound respect for Pep, he isnt just a lucky coach..

Just in case you guys forgot, Rijkaard had almost the same crop of players and was outplayed by Real Madrid in 06/07 and 07/08.

Ibra may be right in a way that Pep sucks Messi's cock, or that Pep doesn't communicate well. But as long as Pep keeps winning them titles, I don't think you can fault him in any way.

Curious to get some additional insight into the details of his book, tbh...Seems we never know much of what goes on in the lockerroom and how they maintain what seems like a Japanese tea garden of tranquility...Ibra probably has some juicy stuff to dish on

I found a few quotes interesting:

The coach told him that at Barcelona everyone had to "keep their feet firmly on the ground," and that the club didn't want players to arrive at training in Porsches or Ferraris, they had to keep a lower profile. Zlatan was able to accept this, but it annoyed him: Why does a club have to decide which car you one drive?

He described the Barcelona changing rooms as a place where everyone sat there in silence, well-behaved, almost subdued: Messi, Xavi and Iniesta were like schoolboys who obeyed every command without question. "I am a guy who likes those who drive through red lights. Ibrahimovic breaks off.

He says that instead of fighting back he tried to accept things as they were until he reached the stage when he didn't recognize himself anymore - a complete personality change: ”They became too good,” explained Ibra, who saw the energy he used to have when he played for other teams vanish.

Too good, I love that  ...Fair play to him, he has that right to voice his opinion about how things should be but so too does Pep to decide how the club is run...The irony of course is that Pep's rules reflect the values of the club and also contributed to a successful atmosphere in the clubhouse...Zlatan's past isn't filled with the sort of success that will mark him as the best of anything in history...Pep, meanwhile, is at the helm of rewriting history...Ibra is entitled to his opinion but the proof is in the Pep pudding as they say...Barca were ultimately better off without him

Zlatan is Zlatan...I don't think he ever pretended to be something he wasn't...Even his silly comments & book is more of him being him...It just wan't a good fit but there is only one Zlatan...Still, 20 odd goals and 11 assists is a pretty damn good season by just about any standard

I like the player and his honesty but he's more than a little insecure...That can be the nature of many #9s, run by their egos...I suppose I just don't understand the point of these sort of attacks/criticisms, it only makes the player look foolish and certainly doesn't portray him in a positive light...Fantastic timing ahead of the Milan encounter in a few weeks though

FC Barcelona, pay them millions but ask them to take the bus. :oblivious:

Even here, the club seems fake, I mean be humble? Seriously? Where does the being humble part go when they do all sort of unsportsmanlike stuff on the pitch? Whats the point of crawling to training or saving babies when you dont leave one opportunity to fall on the ground?

You cant treat 26 year old millionaires like school boys for long. Every one who is there now is for the fame, the moment anything goes wrong you'll find out who really wants to play for the club.

Except it's been working for 4 seasons running with the world's best players...So, the evidence would suggest the contrary, Suneet...It has worked and it does work...All Ibra's case proved is that it's better to make the right buy than a panic buy, you have to vette your chices well for this club as we've seen that not everyone can play for this team

There was a lot of uncertainty at the club in '08...Rijkaard was booted, Ronnie, Deco et al were considered at the root of the internal problems of the club - a case of the millionaires dictating how things should be run...Leo, Iniesta, Xavi etc. could've jumped ship as well - but they didn't

Pep came in as someone who grew up through La Masia and knew the club backwards & forwards...Only a player who had lived it could perhaps understand what will make it work best...Hence, the return to the old culture/rules of the club...TEAM

This is the model that works for this club...and fans love it...For every player that couldn't hack it at the club, there are a dozen examples of it being exactly the opposite...We even know now that Alexis took less money to come to the club...If you're willing to buy into the system and the culture at the club, expect great things

"He threatened to beat Guardiola in public," Vilarrubi told radio station RAC1, "He said 'if you do not let me go I will paste him in front of the press'"

...and what is this shit about players not being allowed to drive sports cars?!?!? If I am not mistaken, i think I have seen pictures of Eto'o drive sports car to training. Unless those are new rules they have. Still why the heck will a manager tell a player what car to drive?

What the fuck was he thinking when he decided to write a book? he`s quite an attention whore isnt he?

He just felt that he`ll never be as great as he hoped to be, he knew that he`ll never be able to win the CL like all the football icons. he was fading with the ordinary figures who did also great things. but he wont be listed their with the Ballon D`or winners or even close. so he thought he makes himself immortal by writing this so ridicules book.

On another note, ofcourse he`ll defend Moggi and Juve in the calciopoli! it`s not on his favour to question the trophies he has won with Juve, it`d discredit his efforts in the football world! besides, he`s kind of man who`d defend a medal of honor he`d earn in war where he killed innocent children just for the sake of the silverwear.

Believe it or not, and coming from a man with endless imperfections as I am, but I really pity him.

sure we couldn't challenge for europe but on the flip side, he GUARANTEES domestic league titles.

every single season, going back to his ajax days (albeit with 2 calciopoli ones in between) but thats at least 6+ years of winning.

but hey, im not too fussed, we got 2 scudettos with ibra, including his 2 goals off the bench in the matchday 38 against parma in the torrential rain at the tardini to beat roma to the scudetto (who were winning 1-0 over chievo in perfect football weather at the olimpico at the time). inter won 2-0, roma drew 1-1 and then we traded ibra's ass to barca for 40mil + eto'o

and eto'o being the magic charm in europe, we won the treble.

I HONESTLY HAVE A VERY HARD TIME HATING ON IBRA

Cliques are everywhere. In the office, in school, in politics, in football clubs.

And it's even more apparent in Inter due to the number of Argentinians that we have.

Cant believe you guys.First of all Zlatan has a book coming out and he is trying to sell it.Calciopoli,Inter,Barca are hot topics that he is apart of and he wants to make the most out of it.

Second,if you follow Inter for some time now and dont think there are groups, then ur not following closely. It is obvious thats some players stick together. What I fear is the extent of sticking together and if it is detrimental to the group and team play. I believe it does at times and unfortunately it goes deep because the main culprits are the fan favorites.
