Hi, does anybody know something about Filipo Mancini? He seems to be the son of our grande Mancio. Was nominated for the coppa return against reggina. Has he some talent, just as his dad?

Trial

Meanwhile, Eriksson is understood to have taken Italian Filippo Mancini on trial.

Mancini is the son of Roberto and he plays for his father at Internazionale.

He made his debut for Inter in the Coppa Italia earlier this month, but he is now believed to be trying his luck in England with City.

I think this could be a good move. Sending him out on loan for a year or two. Only problem is, we should look for a club in SERIEA, and not send him out to ManCity. English game is very different from the Italian one, and it would help us better, if he stays in SERIEA.

I think one of the reasons, he is doing a trial is because Sven is a very good friend with Mancini, probably Mancini asked him for that favour.

I think the ideal scenario would be that, Filippo should stay with Inter Primavera for a couple of years, then we can send him out on loan to some Italian club for a year and two, and then see how he is progressing.

Doesn't Mancini have another son younger than Filippo who's also playing for Inter?

I read 1-2 years ago somewhere, quoting Mancini: " ... and my two sons also play for Inter... " , not sure though.

You meant the one, sole and only reason, don't you? :)

One disadvantage of being a good father's son.

Mancio didnt want to look selfish by giving Filippo chances to play for Inter so he probably asked Sven to take his son.

He didnt make a single appearance for ManCity, just played with their youth teams, dont have the records.

His loan spell with them is over, and now he is coming back to us, which would really be odd since we dont have his dad anymore.
I hope he stays with us though. Anyone knows how long is he contracted to us?
