No, you can easily see that it's not the long finger he's pointing out. He's pointing at Toldo as in "He's the man" or "This is my guy". Lol.

I realy love Cordoba, Toldo, Figo and all other legendary players BUT ...

1. Figo - yes, because he is legendary player world wide and it's allways good that such a brand represet us in the world.
2. Cordoba - no. I love him but still ...
3. Toldo, why?

Where is Marco Materazzi? Man with biggest facking heart from all old guard! He should be link between team and a board, his passion is needed there. Where is Pepe Bergomi? Ultimate legend with closed doors here.

Something is fishy there and South American loby kicking Italians.

Grande Toldone!
Absolute legend of a goalkeeper; his passion for the club was simply invigorating.

Great goalkeeper and it still makes me angry that we dropped him for Julio Cesar.
The way he stormed the Valencia changing room on his own that infamous night when Burdisso got blind-sided is legendary, and represents the passion the man has for this club.

Well near the end Toldone wasn't playing up to standard some of his Coppa games were awful, but I loved the guy and plus he was on the bench at Madrid at least and he got to celebrate with the team which is always nice. :)

He was and always will be a legend of Inter.

Maybe we can recruit him as a goalkeeping coach, or another position in management, if he's not pursuing a career in coaching?

"ONCE AN INTERISTA, ALWAYS AN INTERISTA": HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TOLDO!

The former Nerazzurri shotstopper celebrates his 43rd birthday today. Many happy returns on behalf of everyone at FC Internazionale

MILAN - There's something special about Inter. It's forever. When you pull on a Nerazzurri shirt, you feel special. It's the philosophy, the spirit, I don't even know why. Because you feel at home."

Those words by Francesco Toldo perfectly describe the feelings you get when wearing an Inter shirt.

It was a feeling the former keeper experienced for nine seasons, from 2001 to 2010, and one he wanted to go on feeling after hanging up his gloves: from Inter Campus to Inter Forever, Francesco has continued to fly the Nerazzurri flag around the world.

With 233 appearances and 12 trophies (five Scudetti, three Coppa Italias, three Italian Super Cups and a Champions League), he continued the great line of Inter goalies.

On the day he turns 43, we at FC Internazionale would like to wish him a very happy birthday.

Toldo: ‘Why I retired’
By Football Italia staff

Francesco Toldo admits he promised himself he’d retire if Inter won the 2010 Champions League.

The then-38-year-old was backup to Julio Cesar during the Nerazzurri’s run to the final, and retired that summer despite having another year on this contract.

“At a certain point I decided it was time to stop, even though I was relatively young,” Toldo explained to vita.it.

“I never lost my passion, but when the weight of responsibility became so egregious that it was clouding my freedom to play, I retired.

“In 2010 we won the Champions League and I retired, as I’d promised I would do if we won. I had another year on my contract but I had decided.

“The Inter President [Massimo Moratti] asked me what I wanted to do within the club, but I didn’t want to coach - I was tired of training camps and away games.

“I asked if I could take care of the social part.”

Toldo was also asked about the next generation of Italian footballers, and wasn’t positive about their attitude.

“The lads today only think about money, they want quick cash and they collapse at the first difficulty.

“I’ve gone back to working with the youth to convey this to them, because if you sacrifice you’ll benefit later, but if you’re like skittles you’ll fall to the ground at the first opportunity.

“Economic wealth can make it easy to buy things, but happiness and self-sacrifice can’t be bought. Young people today don’t understand the value of those things.”
