Bundesliga is starting tonight with Werder-Bayern. This is a good preview for anyone who's interested.

As for my prediction, it's hard to see past a Bayern title as long as Kane adjusts to Bayern and Bayern adjust to Kane. First signs weren't very positive as Bayern attacked looked static with Kane so they will need a transition period. But once Kane gets accustomed to Bundesliga their attack will be fearsome. But Bayern aren't invincible. They have their issues. Kim is a good replacement for Lucas, Guerreiro is a quality backup for Alphonso Davies (when he's fit) but they still haven't sorted Pavard situation, they're going to take a risk with GK hoping Neuer will return soon and they still concede too many chances. Tuchel has asked for a #6 but Bayern board believe midfield is complete with Kimmich, Laimer, Goretzka and Gravenberch. Only the sale of the Dutchman could change the plans.

If there's any team that can challenge Bayern this season it's Leipzig. They lost many starters but they have made some very smart signings and i expect them to be even stronger this season. It's Rose golden chance to establish himself as one of the league's elite coaches after the failed spell at Dortmund.

Even if we put the biggest choke job of the century in Bundesliga (they put Vizekusen to shame) aside and the puzzling decision of taking the armband from Reus and giving it to Emre Can of all people (Kehl found the culprit), they have lost a lot in creativity with the departures of Bellingham and Guerreiro and i am not convinced about the replacements. I have my doubts if they can rise to the challenge.

As for the dark horse of the season, my vote goes to Leverkusen. Xabi Alonso did a tremendous job since taking over after the disastrous start last season and it will be interesting to see him from the start.

Agreed on Leipzig being title contenders, more than any year before.

What I also think is that Bayern will get fucked in CL, but they will figure it out in the second half of the season.

Before that, there's 2nd division games.

Kaiserslautern just scored vs Elversberg, but probably offside.

lol what a turn of events.

There was an offside, but there was also handball. And apparently, the handball was in favor of Kaiserslautern, so ref casually says no goal and everyone's upset. Then all we see is that there's a PK for Kaiserslautern

1-0

great start to this joke.

also, Inter could have gone for Fullkrug... but they probably don't know that guy even exists.

Fullkrug gets lots of hate, also in Germany, but imo it's underserved. Granted he's no Klose but he's a decent forward. It isn't his fault there are no good German strikers anymore.

Highest loss in the opening game in the history of Werder. Also 15th consecutive win for Bayern at Weserstadion in all competitions. That's the longest away record against a particular opponent in the history of Bundesliga.

Bremen is really bad tbh, Kane is okay and still has a goal and an assist, Kim Min Jae is disappointing.

They have been irrelevant ever since Tomas Schaaf left. They had even got relegated 2 years ago.
