I had a quick look in the latest annual and this is what I could gather: Salary players €152m Salary coaches & technical staff €13m Amortization players €101m Agent fees €23m So it’d add up to €289m for 21/22. €266m would be more comparable to pier’s numbers, but agent fees are also included...

Salaries and wages in the annual report include directors, media etc. All staff. Only the costs of the players and Inzhagi matter for the squad cost ratio. As for amortization, it’s expected that the numbers should differ somewhat given that there are other intangibles than players.

Of 15 draws and losses last season, only 4 saw us beat in terms of xG. Capitalizing on the chances was a larger issue.

Concerning competitive ability the mercato has been decent to good with improved, or at least sustained, capacity at most positions. From a financial perspective it has been very good, despite getting low-balled for Brozo and overpaying for Arnautovic. All in all I think it has been well...

Why should we not be happy to bag a significant upgrade to the squad? Pavard is excellent, we can hardly have prime Messi as the benchmark for a great acquisition.

If we get a RCB I’d keep him as a sub for LCB. Don’t want to wear Bastoni out and Carlos can only eat limited minutes there given that Dimarco will be needing frequent relief as well.

I’m bullish on this guy, don’t expect his starting spot to be in jeopardy once fully settled.
