The first thing that stood out was the appalling officiating. The whole referees team were idiot to neglect Bastoni's elbow before Frattesi's goal. It seemed they realized they screwed up so they tried to made it up by awarding a non-existence penalty for Verona. Their horrid performance can only be matched by our very Arnautovic who tried to break a record of how many blunders per minute a football player can commit. We were lucky to earn three points because Verona were a bigger chocker than Inter and the referees being clowns.
Most of the referees focus on the area where the ball is. Bastoni's situation was something which always happens when there is a corner or set pieces. Players are pulling and pushing each other all the time.
Few rounds ago, in the Sassuolo - Cagliari match, there was a cross which passed like 4-5 above the penalty area of Sassuolo. Nobody had a chance to claim the ball but one defender slapped Lappadula in the face absolutely intentionally. Lappadula immediately fell down and spent like couple of minutes on the ground, trying to get a penalty. Nothing happened.
I'm sorry, but most of the players are such pussies nowadays. They are always falling down if there is a chance to get something or something negative happen.
I've seen many times how if a team scores a goal, the opposition's defenders fell on the ground, claiming that someone fouled them.
About the Bastoni's case. The defender pushed him with both hands, when tha ball was crossed and Basto returned the favor with nasty, but not even strong elbow/shoulder in the chest. Nothing special.
If, on the contrary Bastoni fell down after being pushed, and crying for penalty instead, would you say again that the referees were poor for not calling it?
