    Major League Soccer 2012

Season just began last weekend. I think Visca is the only one who pays attention besides La Bling?

Earthquakes started with a win over New England.

Also a big good luck to Kelyn Rowe and Chandler Hoffman, both UCLA players who were taken in the draft this past January.

Eh. I watch occasionally. Definitely nothing I go out of my way for though. NY/Seattle, ftw, though.

And MLS is organized differently, Mad... completely differently. There's no getting promoted, relegated, etc. And it seems to change yearly.

There's no promotion system. Which is one of the things I hate about MLS because the lower teams have no reason to try and fight to get better and there's no suspense besides the title battle (which in itself isn't that exciting either, haha). Teams are franchises and they can move from a lower league to MLS. Someone who knows more might be able to explain better.

They don't. The Montreal team is a new expansion team like the Vancouver Whitecaps are. I think the Portland Timbers were in some other league before joining MLS. No relegation or stuff, at least not that I know of.

Are tickets really cheap for this stuff Visca? Someone gave me this free earthquakes scarf (even though I don't care that deeply) and I've never seen a professional football game in person. Maybe I'll consider going since I'm not far from Santa Clara. I've only witnessed my college play a few games within the (American) football stadium.

At least they wear black/blue, even if it's not striped like Inter.

Here are the pictures of that scarf.

    Front side

Back Side (Technically 5 year anniversary since its revival, the original team moved to Houston when Landon Donovan was there)

Full scarf collection. (With UCLA beanie placed)

Well the best seats in midfield are like $40-50, the further you get from the center the cheaper they are. Or you can sit with the "ultras" () behind the goal for like $20.

I'm a fan of nose bleeds. I'm notorious for sitting in the cheapest possible seats in the building majority of the time. Only exception was a trip to Minnesota. Do these games sellout where it's impossible to get? Or is it do-able to go up to the stadium and get a ticket?

Not sure, I always buy mine ahead of time. I've never seen it sold out though except for when I went to a friendly against Spurs. I imagine it's possible if it's against one of the worse teams.

There are still a few guys in the league that I played against while at Siena...

    Miloš Kočić - Toronto FC
    Steward Ceus - Colorado Rapids
    Mike Fucito - Montreal Impact

Former UAlbany keeper and current Senegal NT keeper Bouna Coundoul was recently cut from the New York Red Bulls and is currently on trial with Vaasan Palloseura in Finland. Still the most intimidating player I have ever faced!

By the way, for those who are wondering, when the postseason happens and the knockout round starts, the away goals rule does not exist in the aggregate. Home Goal is the same as an Away goal.

The one team that does garner good support (after doing some research) is the Seattle Sounders. They use the same stadium as the NFL team Seattle Seahawks. And from what I hear, they sell it out every time. Even though they close off the top, I think it can sellout to its 67,000 capacity if they open it (which they have for special occasions).

He won the MLS Cup last year. His team will play in the CONCACAF Champions league next year... I don't pay deep attention to this league. I might just use this thread to show highlights or awful scenes

This is for you Dylan. Keane already has 3 goals in 3 MLS games.

Comical piss poor miss. Also lousy commentary since this is the Earthquakes play by play guy. Check the 1:24 mark.

The only thing I like about MLS is the logo of each club is so fantasy football..
    FC INTERNAZIONALE

I thought football in Italy had changed, but it seems that a zebra never changes its stripes.

Check the 2:00 mark for a funny highlight. Good ole Minor league soccer.

If you really don't care, I would be way more than happy to take the scarf off your hands. Feel free to message me if you're interested because I would love to add this to my MLS collection. Cheers...
