    Mauricio Aníbal Isla

Mauricio Isla (born 12 June 1988)

Many rumours that we are linked to him. Rumours said we will open negotiations on saturday.

Isla plays for Udinese and the national team of Chile. He can play in numerous positions, including right, centre, and left back as well as a winger or centre midfielder. Also, he can play as an inside forward.

Played 122 matches for Udinese and made 6 goals
Played 31 times for Chile, 2 goals

    Good signing if below 15m.

Good signing even over 15m. Good players don't fall off of trees at least in today's market.

This is for me the number one target this summer. Maicon has to be sold, cash in on him, and then we go for Isla who can put on better performances right now, and is a hell of a lot younger.

If we decide to sell Sneijder and aim for a pure 442, he can also play as a right winger (or him as a right back and Schelotto as right winger).

Would indeed be a great signing. Hope he replaces Maicon.

    Anibalrapist where you at?

We better make this happen as soon as possible. The longer the saga the trickier she is.

15 mil and above is a bit heavy for a primarily industrious player like him imo

It's not something I prefer, but just saying, since we're destined to sell Sneijder anyway, and we get the chance to go for 442. It's just a theory, not my preferences.

Andrea Stramaccioni does not like 4-4-2.

I would close the deal for 14m. He's probably our main target this summer! Udinese already prepared his replacement.

We will probably put around 15m€ in cash + some youngsters to the deal. Then in couple of years people here moan and cry why did we give this and that youngster in this deal.

No doubt that he should be one of the main target for many reasons:

    (1) Replacement for Maicon
    (2) Shown his quality in Serie since sometime
    (3) Young, talented
    (4) WE NEED HIM

I will do so now if it is either of Crisetig or Bessa.

Crisetig would hurt me a bit, but Bessa not so much. Bessa is so far away from being a competitive senior level player that we will have to loan/co-own him anyway to somewhere.

    Bessa >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Crisetig.

Loaning him out is reasonable, but I think we need him next season. We need him now already.

Why buy another wing forward when Bessa could very well cover that role and also cover in attacking midfield spot.

Co-ownership is for players who are so-so for making it. But if you give the best player of your youth team away on co-own, one of the best players in whole of Italy's Primavera level (if not the best!), then, if you want his full ownership back, you are more than likely going to end up paying 3-4x the amount his card was worth when you gave him away.
