I missed my usual bus home from work as I was preoccupied reading FIF, so what better time than now to formally introduce myself, now that I got time to kill.
My name is Adam and I joined a number of years back but haven't really posted until recently.
I am 36 and have been following Inter since at least 1988 or 1989. Walter Zenga was my idol as a goalkeeper. Lothar Matthaus was my favourite outfield player. I used to get up early to watch the Sunday game of the week with my dad and two older brothers at an Italian cultural centre that had an old school satellite dish. Those times were great as Serie A week in, week out had the best league and best players and the best heavyweight title fights between Inter, Napoli, Sampdoria and Milan.
Fuck JuBe. Both then and now.
One of my brothers is a Milanista. He is much less annoying than my JuBentino brother. I swear he must be adopted. I am trying to teach his kids right from wrong and that being JuBentino is no way to go through life.
I have been fortunate enough to see Inter live at the San Siro (2-2 draw with Siena on the second last match day - was hoping to celebrate the Scudetto, but had to wait a week).
Outside of being an Interista, I have new baby that will only know black and blue as her favourite colours (calcio-wise). I am a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bears, and the Montreal Canadiens (and to a lesser extent the Winnipeg Jets).
2010 was the best year ever: Lakers were back to back champs, Bears and Habs had great playoff runs and Inter completed the TREBLE. Oh, and I also got married. Almost forgot that.
This is a great place to listen to opinions, to vent and hopefully to celebrate EVERY week.
