oops... sorry, for just a moment i thought we were the team playing away today. fixed the previous post.
My username has nothing to do with the player of loserpool fc, it is just a reference to an Italian novel.

The left-back Marco Sala sustained an injury, too: he lost a tooth and above all broke the nasal septum

Surely we can develop one vice-Icardi from Odgaard, Colidio and Pinamonti. Even our youth set up cannot fuck this up.

I am not taking bets tho

odgaard in my opinion is the closest of the 3 to being ready for real football.

but all of them need first team experience. especially pinamonti, who has close to none experience out of primavera.

they say that this 3 are quite talented...I don't want to see more Primavera talents burn out in some obscurity...if we get a kid to KILL IT in the first squad...Bergomi was the last one ffs...who rly was a legend from the Primavera up...it would even cost the least tbh. and it's a great satisfaction I imagine...instead of buying from Atalanta,Genova,Samp...for +20mil and such

Can't really disagree here. But we're not a club that traditionally has its own talents make it far. Facchetti came at 18. Mazzola was essentially adopted by Meazza and groomed to play at Inter due to circumstances, Beccalossi came from Brescia, Boninsegna played for several teams prior joining us, Corso was a Primavera player briefly as he was signed in his late teens from somewhere in south Italy similar with Facchetti.

Meazza is one but we're talking about a period before full professionalism. The other players are Beppe Bergomi as you say, Lele Oriali, Giuseppe Baresi, Walter Zenga, possibly Ricardo Ferri? We simply don't have this trait as a club and it's a shame as it gains more respect internationally. It'd be nice, too.

I'm also not sure how Juventus fares with this record either, it's not like they groom their own players. Marchisio is one, but before him you may have to go back to Bettega to find a Juventus Primavera player who's played there for more than a couple of seasons.
Milan on the other hand do this a lot in more recent years. Maldini, Costacurta, Albertini, Baresi, Donnarumma, De Sciglio, Abate even, Brocchi was their player and returned to play after years, could argue the same with Antonelli, Calabria plays now and so does Manuel Locatelli.

As long as we sign players like Zanetti, Cambiasso, Cordoba, Materazzi, Toldo and older examples like Facchetti and Corso, I'm really fine with this.

So is Pinamonti still playing for the Primavera? I guess playing of them but also training with the first team plus being on the bench for official matches?

great game by the kids. the first Pinamonti goal and the third (odgaard) were great plays.

pinamonti should really start seeing some valuable minutes in the first team.
obviously icardi is untouchable, but at least in some games the last 10 minutes should be used for player development.
Odgaard too. maybe as a second striker?

any opinion on who between the two would work best partnered with icardi in front?

I think odgaard cause he moves more, under this point of view pinamonti is more similar to Icardi so the two wouldn't work very well together imho

Odgaard vs U19 Kiev (1st leg?), he looked like a complete bully, too good for this level already. We need to find a club to loan him out asap, even back to Lynby.
