    FIF Scout Reports

Of course, none of us are professional scouts. However, we do tend to hear a lot about players Inter have been scouting. When I say this, I refer to players normally under the age of 19. The Inter scouts have reported a lot of players and some we have already acquired. There are also others that are being closely monitored. I thought it would be nice to open a thread that kept track of this scouting work.

Primarily, I know a few young players who Inter have bought or are monitoring. Here is the list:

    BOUGHT

    Senna Miangue (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/se...er_249552.html)

    image.jpg

    Paulino De La Fuente (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/pa...er_261502.html)

    image.jpg

Senna Miangue looks like a very promising Belgium prospect (as all Belgium's do recently) and apparently Inter stole Paulino De La Fuente just before Real Madrid got him (http://www.tribalfootball.com/articl...madrid-3836071), which says a lot! Do you guys no any promising players Inter have bought?

    MONITORING

    Victor Andrade (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/vi...er_203323.html)
    Alen Halilovic (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/al...er_226074.html)

Victor Andrade has been monitored by Inter and many Brazilian footballing experts have recommended him to us. You all know Laen Halilovic, and that we sent scouts to watch him against France on Saturday.

Btw, browha, where do all these 15/16 year old players go if Inter buy them? Do they go to their respective age groups e.g. Inter U16 etc.?

pretty much yes. they go straight into their "correct" youth team. Its only a very few players we move up ahead of their time - e.g. Donkor, Bonazzoli, Tassi...

What do you guys think of Kondogbia? He plays like Yaya Toure and would be a good addition to the squad. The signing would also help further the youth project.

Way to raw. He has talent, but I think he really needs couple of more years at a team like Sevilla.

Lets buy him then, and sell him for less in 2,3 years, cause he wouldnt play here, at least shouldnt be playing, and that wont help him at all.

I watched Portugal vs Ghana in the U-20 WC. A player that impressed me was Moses Odjer of Ghana. He played in central midfield and looked composed, even though he was only 16. his passing and vision were the key qualities in his play. Odjer hit a great shot that the keeper barely tipped over the bar. In the beginning of the second half, he had to be substituted, due to an injury.

The commentator informed me that he played for Liberty Professionals, a Ghanaian club that had produced Muntari, Asamoah Gyan, and Michael Essien. He may play for an unknown team, but he was the youngest player in the tournament, showing that he must have talent to play in a U-20 competition.

Most 16-year-olds in a U-20 competition would look out of place and play poorly, but Odjer was comfortable against one of the tournament favorites. Maybe we could pick him up for a small price; he would be a good bargain and could be at the required level to play in our Primavera.

It's just a shame that he plays for a Ghanian club team right now, so, after the U-20 World cup is done, I won't be able to scout him any further, until he moves to a bigger club. Hopefully, we have sent scouts to that game, so we can attempt to sign him later.

There's only one important tournament occurring at the moment: this U-20 WC. So if we have any scouts, I believe that the majority are at the U-20 WC. And if we don't have any scouts at that competition, then Inter should hire me and send me to the WC!

Odjer just got an assist in the 3rd place match vs Iraq at the U-20 WC. He whipped in a beautiful cross from a corner, and a big defender headed it in. Odjer has battled well against the older, and physically stronger, Iraqis.
