    Inter Planning American Tour

Two articles surfaced today. Originally it was just a snippet that Inter is planning an American tour. A few hours later the Washington Post is reporting Inter will join Juventus, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, and four other most likely European teams in a tournament this summer in the United States.

Games are planned in the Phoenix, San Francisco, and Indianapolis areas. With semi-finals in New York and Los Angeles. Final in Miami.

Getting excited at the thought of this happening.

I don't get it.. so there will be matches in all these different American cities but how are fans of each club supposed to know which city their club will be appearing at more than a couple days in advance since isn't it a knockout tournament? Or am I reading it wrong?

Least something interesting is coming to San Francisco this year... last year we only got Swansea

Heard that this is not really true. But I'll definitely be there if there is a match in SF.

I'm in Portland, so yes, I'll be there in a second for an SF match. The knockout format, I believe, is only part of the final 4 games in Miami. At least I hope.

On Inter's last tour through the US in 2009 they went to Dallas and LA. Can't remember the east coast venue. There's a video of them in Dallas on vimeo, now here for your viewing pleasure. https://vimeo.com/27886524

I hope it's real. Inter could definitely benefit from getting some American exhibition $$$ to close up some gaps. Hell, do it every single year. I wouldn't mind that one bit.

So has it been decided where Inter will play? The description was a bit confusing, when speaking about the play off rounds.

We also came to the US the season before that with Jose and did in fact win a treble.
    Best match thread opener ever.

It's interesting to see what we will do if we'll have to play 3rd qualifying round in Europa League that will be played on August 1st and 8th...

Indianapolis? Random Midwest location that one.

Phoenix is also a strange choice. Who wants to play or watch football at the height of summer in the desert? Move that shit up to the Pacific Northwest. The beautiful game is huge up here. The biggest in North America imo (Mexico excluded)

Well I'll definitely be going to at least 1 of these games. Maybe more if they play at SF & LA. But even if its in New York I can make the trip

    Pretty excited about this!
