...Gheorghe Hagi?
simply amazing.
i loved watching him play. i still have Romania-VS-Argentina
my all time favourite game, just attacking after attacking, superb
from there, i fell in love with Hagi, but there whole team was awesome, even Dimitrescu, whos very underrated![]()
One of the best left-footed soccer players ever. I will never forget WC94, those goals against Columbia were simply magical. Then had an unsuccessful spell with Barca then helped establish Galatasaray as a european power.
His tempers failed him nonetheless, like that shameful exist in Euro2000 when he took a dive against Italy.
But he remains one of my favourite players ever.![]()
I heard that he was never quite as good for his team as he was for teh national team.
That for sure, except when he was with Gala. The problem with Barca was that he wasn't given a midfield-general role. He is the kind of player that needs the midfield to be built around him, he dictates play.Originally Posted by Serb
With barca, there was him, Stoickov as a half-striker and then moody Romario. They just didn't combine well, and he struggled there.
Romania v Argentina in 94 is part of the history of football. He was there, big time.
