    C. Replace with good striker (Immobile, Bellotti, etc)

    D. Gambling on promising striker (Piatek etc)
    50m fee + (3m wages x 2 tax x 5 year) = 80m or 16m/year

    E. Going madness not buying anyone (Gabigol, Pina, Lautaro etc)
Using all money to buy our loanee and raise Candreva and borja salary.

Pick your fighter and dont act cowardly...
Thats what i ve been saying for some times in terms of total costs (yearly cost) we re not getting a striker of icardis calibre for cheaper. We might save 1 or 2 mios per year if we take a gamble on piatek but is that worth it? Consider that piatek after 1 or 2 good seasons would also want that salary bump.

And yes we re gonna make a huge profit on icardi but thats one time the cost increase from getting a good replacement in cavani higuain etc is permanent plus if we get an old striker which imho is the only way to get a striker on icardis level we re most likely not gonna be able to resell him 3 to 4 years down the road.

For all these reasons i would much rather see us bump his salary than getting rid of him. Also we should not forget that Mauro s value is not gonna drop drastically even if he has a shit season he ll still be worth a lot of money cause he has already 5 great seasons behind him. If we get a piatek or any other young guy for say 50 mio if he does not perform in his first season we ll most likely have another gabig/J mario on our hands which is the last thing we need.

This is all the media making stories, Icardi has plenty of time left on his current deal it's not like we're desperate for him to resign, just be patient Icardi is happy in Milan, he has a life and his kids here and he never raised doubts over the future at our worst so I'm not expecting him to do so when we are finally a solid team.

Don't read too much into it, when we least expect it the club will announce the renewal you can quote me on this.

Well, losing Ibra isn't the same, I doubt that we can lure player of the same strength if we sell Icardi, or even 2 players like Milito and Etoo.

And, after all, Etoo possessed different skillset than that of an Ibra, but he was a beast and in no way inferior to Ibrahimovic (I would actually say prime Etoo is even stronger).

    News Article:
Will the club ask the captain to deal with another person? Struggled the double role, in addition to some video ose, of his wife

    Icardi's comment on Instagram:
where do these phrases come from? But it is possible that a newspaper like the Gazzetta writes shit

furthermore, I would like to point out that I am very, very happy and satisfied with the work we have done together until now. for this reason, it will always be Wanda to take care of my and our interests until the end of my career

Exactly people say well we were better of without Ibra which is true but we got rid of him and in the same window got Motta, Lucio Sneijder, Eto'o and milito and i m probably forgetting somebody. Now if i m not wrong the Ibra deal pretty much financed all that. Does anybody think we could get 5 players of that quality through selling Mauro? Imho there is no way.

Also i think people tend to forget how out of this world that Ibra deal was at that time, i was a huge ibra fan but when i heard that offer i was all for selling him.

I mean if United would offer us 70 mio plus lukaku for mauro i do it. But that aint happening.

it will be hard to find a replacement, but it won't be impossible.

Some of the simplier options may be Ben Yedder, Mertens (Napoli might drive a hard bargain), Batshuayi, Iheanacho or Kramarić. The last two are my favourites, since they'll probably cost less than half of Icardi. At the worst, sign a superstar like Aguero and give Martinez two more years to develop into our main striker.

Very against bringing Higuain, Benzema or Cavani.

Icardi's post on Instagram is probably referring to this report:

Inter No Longer Wish To Deal With Wanda Icardi

Gazzetta dello Sport have examined the situation after Mauro Icardi was forced to miss Inter’s return to training due to a cancelled flight.

Icardi had warned the Inter management about the problems with flights and was given another time to report to Inter’s training ground. He did however not turn up despite the coaching staff waiting for him and was given a hefty €100,000 fine as a result.

Inter are disappointed with the captain, who by all accounts, who should be setting the example for his teammates and should be back in Milan the day before training not attempting to do so on the day.

With Icardi fined, it has further shown that Inter’s management will not make exceptions and that essentially nobody is above punishment. Radja Nainggolan was also recently fined and even suspended for repeatedly failing to turn up on time.

Compatriot Lautaro Martinez also had flight troubles and was late too but he turned up at training at the re-scheduled time he was given. He too will be fined although it will be significantly less than Icardi’s.

The report goes on to add that Inter’s management team have grown tired of Icardi’s agent, Wanda Icardi’s behaviour. As a result, they will request to meet with another representative to Wanda.

Ben Yedder, Batshuayi, Iheanacho and Kramaric would be good choices. For Fiorentina. Wera, come on. You can't be serious. None of them is good enough.

Milito-Motta's transfer was financed with selling of people like Acquafresca, but yeah, Ibra's deal financed pretty much everything and we were also lucky with Sneijder-Robben-CR7-Kaka situation. Otherwise nobody would sell Sneijder for that price.

Also, this was a first year of price inflation in modern football, the prices of the players were relatively low, there was no FFP, the Ibra deal was just a bit less than CR7 deal. If somebody offers us 200m (so 22 mln short of world record transfer of Neymar) I would also be content with his departure. But 110m is nothing these days, it's a price of people like Ousmane Dembele. If he won't renew his contract, Real will buy him for 110 and who will we buy? Unless Suning goes full retard and splashes out 200m for Kane or sth. We will be completely fucked if he leaves for 110m.

Yeah the translation is fine. Icardi accuses gazzetta of reporting "cagate" as on top of the page of the article from "la gazzetta dello sport" he writes on Instagram: "how is it possible that a newspaper like La Gazzetta writes such bullshit?".
My username has nothing to do with the player of loserpool fc, it is just a reference to an Italian novel.

So Icardi is content and very happy with the work of Wanda? All those remarks about his potential sale to Juve 2 years ago or other blatant lies are also truthful and were completely appropriate business etiquette-wise?

I'm not surprised that the only one you didn't mention is Mertens, because he is the only one playing in Serie A and we are all more exposed to him. Since I don't believe we have a chance landing Lacazette, Werner or Paco Alcacer, and there's a few players scoring enough but I don't want them anywhere near, those five I mentioned are more realistic and good options. Personally I'd be ecstatic to get Iheanacho and pay for Vrsaljko and Politano with the Icardi money. Maybe even have some change for a great midfielder.

I'm not going to act like there aren't good attackers out there and I'm def not going to cause panic when we finally sell Icardi.

Bro i dont like the current lukaku at manu but lukaku at everton i liked. And it was just an example to illustrate.

Also ben yedder, Batushay iheanacho? wtf is wrong with you guys do you really think that these guys could fill icardies shoes?
Also i ll say it again they wont be cheaper on a yearly basis plus they are a huge risk as if they dont work out here we ll have another gabi g situation.
And sign a super star like aguero? As if aguero would come to inter and take a pay cut! Aguero will ask for at least what icardi earns and he would probably cost 70+ mio. So we would increase our running costs largely we ll make a profit in the year icardi is sold but from then on will have a CF who is worthless in 3 years while Mauro would still be worth 70+ mio even in 4 years.

Again i m not saying there is no way we should replace icardi. But all the suggestions brought forward here won t lead to us being better off financially and whether or not we would be better of sporting wise is a huge question.

Anyways i ve said it before and i ll say it again Imho we have a good back bone by now in Skriniar, devrijl, Brozo and Maurito. I would love to add to that core for at least two more seasons then if by then we are not challenging Jube or are not moving in the right direction sell them or 1 or 2 off them and start over.
But before we gave this core of players a real chance to win i dont really wanna give up on any of them. And i m pretty sure we are in a position where we dont have to sell any of them for financial reasons.

I am done with these 2, he can go in the summer, we already have a replacement and can buy another good striker!

Sell him for a good offer, if there's any at all. Until now there hasn't been anything concrete from any big club out there!

This is the yearly circus. He'll sign a new contract towards the end of the month and Wanda will go back to saying things like ''the only contact Mauro has had with Juventus is the 7 goals he's scored against them'', until 2020 where it starts again.

ESPN is already claiming that Allegri wants Icardi in his team. 100m plus Dybala in summer- should be a minimum.

Such a shame because I'd love to have had Icardi and Dybala playing together. At Inter though, not Juventus. Saying that, I actually would take that deal. I think that would strengthen us (depending on how we spend the money) more than Juve. I don't see Ronaldo and Icardi coexisting that well, but they'd still score 50+ between the two of them.
