I rate Florenzi, but I can't part with D'ambrosio. He is the unsung hero and we need to keep players like him. Glue of the team with his versatily, resiliant to the bone.

There is no way Florenzi (wing back) is a replacement for D'Ambrosio (RCB) in Conte's system. This is just media bullshit.

I like Dumbo. Works his hardest every game, true professional, versatile, and he doesn't mind sitting on the bench if needed. Good low maintenance soldier for the club. In these days of the Icardashians, I admire players like Dumbo even more.

Yeah. In RCB role he finally won't have to play with the ball too much.

SkySport: Il procuratore di D Ambrosio è in sede, si lavora per il rinnovo del contratto del terzino fino al 2022.

    Agent: 'Inter appreciate D'Ambrosio'
    By Football Italia staff

Danilo D’Ambrosio has agreed a contract extension, as his agent said Inter “refused to even negotiate” when offers arrived.

The versatile defender can play in a central role, as a full-back, wing-back on the right or left.

“There was just a chat with the director and then they proved how much they appreciate Danilo. It was a sign of recognition for the player and that was very pleasing,” his agent Vincenzo Pisacane. told FCInter1908.

“They will speak when it’s official and give a statement, but we are very happy with the fact he is so well appreciated.”

D’Ambrosio turns 31 next month and his contract was due to expire in June 2021, but the new deal will reportedly run to 2022.

“Every time I brought an offer for Danilo to Inter, they always said no. Every time they refused to even negotiate. Now Inter can really achieve something important with a winner like Antonio Conte.

“He already played in a centre-back role under Luciano Spalletti, so it’s not new, but he is learning a great deal and doing very well.”

Bet we are giving him a contract which raises his salary to a level which makes him untransferable in a few years.

Deserved contract extension given his heroics to keep us in the UCL position. At least someone cares. Curious to know why an extension was needed, I mean it`s just 1 year of a difference. Did we perhaps propose to spread the same earnings for 1 more year of contract?

At a dinner with his agent, D’Ambrosio spoke to Sky about the meeting that took place today.

“Renewal? I cannot say anything. It was a tiring day due to the training sessions that we had. I am finding myself getting along well with Conte, he is a great coach. I am happy for the appreciation from the club although no contract has been signed.”

Don't worry, we will send him out on a dry loan before then

I never really thought about it until now but it'd actually hurt pretty bad watching D'Ambrosio leave...

Leave? He should get a job here the moment he stops playing.

How did D'Ambrosio get into football? He began his career as an athletic male model, specialising in beach-themed photo shoots, and faked his way into being a professional footballer. After a period of pretending he knew what he was doing on-the-job, he started learning in earnest how to play football and has ended up a pretty solid dude, specialising in goal-line clearances.

Incredible how this guy always gets into perfect scoring positions. Could’ve scored two legit goals, one of them is a fucking bicycle kick.
