    Brescia - Inter

This will be a very difficult one. It's always hard to win in Brescia, and now they're desperately fighting to stay in Serie A.

Well I don't think we officially clinched 3rd but we're damn close. A win next weekend would certainly help though.

Adriano should be back to full-strength for this one and I can't imagine him not starting alongside Oba. Brescia will make it tough at home but I think we'll pull out a slim victory.

Yeah, Bresica is always difficult for some reason. Too bad DiBiaggio is back to this game after the suspension, I liked him, but didn't like what he said about us when he left. He is overhimself now with his new position, I hope Martins return him to his original position

Maybe we should use Cambi -- CZ in this game, Bresica count on their counterattacks, where we are always vulnerable. I again want us to play with two winger, preferrably Kily -- ZM. I don't know how long he is out for, and whether or not VDM is ready.

Usually when we played against Bresia I was happy even if we lost when Baggio scored, but this time is different. Without Baggio, I am 100% Inter for this game.
FC Inter is the name, football is the game. Adriano is the man, winning is our aim. Juve and Milan are lame, Sheva is the gay.

Don't remind me of Baggio :cry2: Damn you Lippi, Damn you Damn you Damn you.

They sure miss him this year. I hope they relegate, not because I hate them, but because I want Fiorentina to stay. Having a competetive Fiorentina and Sampdoria makes Serie A better. I am sick of the monopoly of the big clubs, and the eternal mediocracy of teams like Bologna and Udinese.

Udinese have been mediocre this season? Now there's a surprise to me. They have been surprisingly good this season if you ask me and many others.

This is definitely one for Cuchu+Martello. I think Vieri+Adriano could be the starting pair in attack.

I am talking more in general, when did Udi ever challenge for a scudetto in the past decade? They finished third once and that was it.

Teams like Sampdoria and Fiorentina can challenge for the scudetto, like they both did in the 90's. They have a great fan base, and they just have to get their act together in terms of finances and transfers and they can be a force to be reckoned with.

My point is that we need more teams to challenge for Lo Scudetto, that's how Serie A can be better. In La Liga for example, you have teams like LaCoruna and Valencia winning titles in spite of Real and Barca, this is what I call a healthy league.

either a goalless draw, or 1-1 draw.

Im still not up for starting Adriano. He can be on the bench though. Since there wont be no Cruz, vieri can start next to Oba Di Martins.

Is Cruz injured? But that doesn't really matter now. I want Martins, and either Vieri or Adriano to start upfront. We need to play Martins and let him improve his finishing. He wasted quite a number of chances yesterday.

I'm predicting a slim 2-1 win. To us, of course.

I feel bad for Cruz, but his injury is unfortunately the best thing for us, IMHO. Now we can see if Vieri still has it, we need these remaining games to see whether he can still deliver, the Sampdoria game is a Vieri-must-play match.

Cruz injured is not the best thing for us. its not about names, its about form and Cruz is at his peak for this season. Sadly after injury thts gona drop.

hopefully Martins rests this game, or doesnt play all of it. cause i want him fresh for Cagliari.

Cruz has proven to us what he's got. Now its Vieri's turn to prove to us what he still has, if Cruz wasn't injured...Vieri wouldn't get too much game time..we need to see what he can still give to us and if he has a future at this club or not, Cruz has showed us his best...now its Mancio and co's job to see if they think that best is good enough.

its not about proving. its about winning games. maybe thats why inter have been sucking lately, every play doesnt go out to win, they go out to 'prove' which never works.

I think you're reading what you want to read, mate.
Christian Vieri has been a legend @ Inter, no doubt about it...we safely have a CL spot wrapped up, and only a fatal collapse will cost us a spot in the Coppa Italia final...all signs have suggested that Vieri is going to leave us at the end of the season...why not give a legend @ the club a chance to prove himself one last time, it's not like he's been sh1t this season...so rather splashing out 10-15 mill on a striker...give Vieri a go, if he produces the goods, he stays...not complicated, hardly controversial...simple as that.

The last 3 visits to the Mario Rigamonti have been nothing short of dramatic.

In 2001/2002, Ronaldo & Vieri made us believe that Inter will dominate the world football when they ran riot in Brescia's defence. I remember crying when Ronaldo scored his first goal after years of injuries after playing a 1-2 with Vieri. It was a truly dream goal for me. Those 2 were the first reason why I supported Inter in the first place. I clearly remember dominating the Winning Eleven game over my cousins & friends using that duo. Vieri himself scored 2 absolutely Vieri-esque goals. To see them doing it in real life would be awesome but alas...

In 2002/2003, 3 red card were flashed by the referee but 9-men Inter managed to escaped with 3 points thanks to Hernan Crespo's goal with the last kick of the game. Cristiano Zanetti was first to be harshly sent-off as he protested for a foul he comitted. I can't recall who was Il Martello's victim. Vieri retaliated to a Bilica slap or punch and the both of them head for early showers. It is also worth nothing that Inter went into this game on the disappointment of another Derby defeat by city rivals Milan and that Brescia came into this game on the back of an incredible 16 game unbeaten streak, the longest in Serie A that season. Ironically, Inter was the last team to beat them when Vieri scored a poker in November/December 2002.

In 2003/2004, the match finished 2-2 and it resulted with Cuper getting the sack. Arguably, it was the match before, a 3-1 Derby loss, that cost his job but his failure to deliver the victory in this match ultimately caused Moratti to lost his patience.

What will happen when we visit them this season? Brescia's last match was a 2-2 draw with Roma and they were lucky to escape the Olimpico with a point as Montella missed a last minute penalty. Let's hope that we can continue our good form and a victory would be a moral boost ahead of the Coppa Italia semi-final against Cagliari in the mid-week!

Of course, we should rest some players in this match. Cambiasso is the first name that comes to mind for me. Obafemi Martins is another. Although Oba was a nightmare in the last game, he has scored in every round of the Coppa Italia so far, raking 4 goals and he has also scored 3 times against Cagliari this season.

Why rest players? They are all fit and there are no longer anymore major matches apart from the Coppa Italia Semi's...

Of course, every game is an important one - but I am sure the players will want to play before the summer break.
