According to this article(the one I already posted from Linea Inter) there will be a meeting between Steven Zhang, Zanetti and Simeone in an argentinian restaurant in Madrid early next week!

We should sign his son, and then tell Simeone that Pioli rates his son on the same level as Gabigol

FUN FACT: After helping Catania avoid relegation, Simeone left the club and was a free agent around the time Inter instead chose Gasperini. Six months later Simeone signed with Atletico and turned them into the European powerhouse they are today.

It really sounds awful when you compare timelines from that moment.

Simeone wouldn't be what he is today had he had the misfortune of coaching Inter at that time. Career suicide.

As a normal human being, Simeone must leave Atletico immediately. Failing to win the CL after being so close to it 3 times with the same team doesn't seem encouraging for a 4th time, specially when there's a bigger struggling former club with unlimited resources willing to kill for your signature.

Honestly, Simeone's loyalty towards Atletico in my eyes has always been a quality, not a weakness.

Even as much as we're clamoring for him to join us ("'we're a bigger club, we have more resources" etc.), him not leaving Madrid at the first sight of money and/or a bigger club is a great testament of character on his part. If not, what would keep him from joining us at some point, then immediately leaving when someone higher up in the hierarchy inevitably comes knocking?

What I'm seeing is a coach who wants to do the absolute best for the club that he coaches, doesn't rush his departure, and when he leaves them at some point, he leaves them in the best shape possible. Unlike Mou, who, although he's the GOAT for me, didn't exactly do that for us.
It's all very encouraging. Even if we have to wait till' 2018.

What's that saying, "you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villian". Look at Mou and Raineri. Simeone needs to be smart here and leave on high.

    Maybe not so fun.

Many of the rumours say we were attempting to lure Simeone by giving him EPL style control of both the team and transfers, but the re-signing of Ausilio seems contradict that idea.

why would it be, to have control over transfers doesnt mean he will travel and negotiate contracts details

Giving him transfer power may be the only way he may leave Atletico to come here,,i seriously don't mind if we do that( cause with agents like Kia manipulating inter management like puppets on a string ) someone needs to tell him go fuck himself and that someone is simeone.
