    Spine of the Team

Who are the four players you guys consider the spine of the team, meaning which player in each part of the field (goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and forward) is the player we need to focus on keeping and building around?

For me, it's Handanovic - Juan - Kovacic - Icardi

I forgot to add, you can add players Inter own but are not actually in the squad right now, so some people might prefer Bardi over Handanovic.

Bardi should focus on getting a start at Chievo before considering being a part of the spine.

Basically, but I'm not sold on Icardi. I don't believe top teams can support a poacher in the modern game. People claim that his game will magically become more rounded as he gets older, but I can't think of many/any similar type players that happened to do that.

I'm not saying he's not a useful asset that shouldn't be kept, but if we sold him and for example bought Immobile and Cerci I feel we would be in a better position moving forward.

You can't really add players, it's basically a game where you pick one player from each section of the field who's the most useful to the team in the long-term.

Ranocchia?! The guy who can't command his df to save his life?
M'Vila?! When he is passing to Roma's defenders?

We are not now that strength which in old days
    Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

M'Vila had the highest passing accuracy of those who started the match. Behind only Icardi's 1 pass and Kovacic. So that's just not true.

Do we have someone who can command our defence? And M'villa's problem isn't his passing

It means they don't give away the ball often, so it does mean something.

Your point being? A good driver and a shit driver might have the same amount of crashes, but it doesn't mean they're just as good at driving as each other

Kuzmanovic is a fine passer, the fact he isn't making enough forward passes doesn't have anything to do with his ability. Likewise M'villa isn't lacking technique either.

JZ was never technically gifted from a passing perspective, but he was smart enough to keep his passing simple

icardiscores said M'Vila spent the night passing to Roma's defenders. Which was false.

M'Vila had a couple of passes directed right in to the Roma's players feet..very Guarinesque tbh.

those stats that people like to throw around don't tell the whole story.Watching the game properly does!

+he could hardly coup with providing cover to the df because he lacks stamina atm(he was out for a month ok but still,Mancio said that he isn't in optimal condition necessary so my question is why did he play him?! Lack of alternatives probably)...that's why we got run over in df. not that Medel was way better tbh.

Our best mf was probably Kuz...so that's says a lot of our midfield doesn't it...

1.Kuz: good game in attack tbh with an awesome corner kick assist on a plate for Frog to score. He was partly responsable for the first goal though but Dodo was enojoying the Ljajic rollercoaster to much...
2.Medel Fu up at the 2 goal when he was caught ball watching...lot of quantity little quality though.
3.M'Vila. I've already described his game...
4.Guarin The fucker of the game tbh. Responsible for the 3th(maybe he was fould but he loses possesion waaay to easy because he is simply a dumb player. He has heart and strength but that's not enough and the 4th goal was also an unecessary tackle...like the Penalty given away to Dnipro.
