    Lukas Podolski

Well folks, looks like a done deal. We just have to figure out how much we will pay if we end up buying him end of season.

Personally I am really hyped to see Podolski in an Inter shirt. I think he will have the same effect that Palacio had on us when he first joined. If we do keep Podolski, Icardi, Palacio, and Osvaldo around going into next season, we will have a very potent strike force, forged out of grit, technique, experience and youth. And I say all this without Lukas yet to kick a ball for us!

Cmon Lukas, can't wait to see you in San Siro!

It looks as much (un)done as the Cerci deal. If there is a Cerci thread, surely there has to be a Podolski one.

How will he fit in here? Has he played here as a winger before?

I think he will play a similar role that Palacio is playing. he will play as the second striker who drifts in from the outside, and also track back to win balls.

That's where he's played for Arsenal primarily, left wing.

Totally in for him. 29 years old, pacey, deadly left foot and German. Ideal player if we're playing with 3 upfront.

didn't see any game of his at Arsenal lately tbh.

so I'm not gonna predict shit...he could be big for us Palacio style(from the start) or he could be a Forlan

I think he's here to win the Scudetto. Let's not disappoint him with shit team play, with one more winger like Podolski, we could really come to renaissance.

Fast, strong shot, can take free kick, experienced. Much much better than that Atletico flop.

another stupid deal that we'll regret in months, but have to live with for years.

an overrated, finished, costly bench warmer who is past his prime. of course inter are after him...

I'll be very happy if this happens, I like him a lot. But I don't want to get too excited about anything until it's really done deal.
And he has been linked with a lot of teams lately, because Arsene is not playing him at Arsenal...

Reports have indicated that it's a loan with the option to buy. If he sucks, give him back to Arsenal. We can't go wrong here considering we're broke as F.

I'm not saying there aren't better targets or that I even like Podolski, but whatever, better than watching Palacio die on the pitch

Just a idea: if you want a serious debate about football, you should block everybody from countries that NEVER will win nothing and NEVER will have a balon d'or, for example.
Whats the point about those guys opinions??? Can i go to some New Zealand chat and start to teach them how to recognize the better wc prospects among young Rugby players?
Again, if you NEVER saw a young wc prospect struggling in his first years, like Kaka or Ronaldinho who were booed by they local supporters here, how could you judge????

If it makes you guys feel better the general consensus from Arsenal fans is that they're losing a talented player and Wenger is making a mistake.

And no one really knows why he is not being used at Arsenal.

how of these deals have ever worked out in our benefit since we made that our primary style of conducting business 4 years ago?

We absolutely can, he does marginally good, to make us sign him, we do for 3 to 4 years at a 10 million euro fee whilst paying his high wages and then he starts his eventual decline that all aging players go through.. this deal benefits us "slightly" now but will leave us even more fucked in the future when we want to get rid of him but no club is dumb enough to take him..

We're basically collecting Arsenal's garbage for them.
