I'd rather have Mertens than Perotti

Perisic would be first choice, but 20mil+ is too much imo

yeh, fook this old cunt. i dont like him either.

ljajic or keita would clearly be the better choice. or just both tbh, since jovetic is bound to get injured sooner or later. we need the depth

Mertens is a gun. A really dynamic player. My main problem is that he tends to be pretty inconsistent, and at his age, he should be doing better in that regard.

He can be dangerous but he can also be nullified. Like I said in the forwards section, has never wowed me.

I've seen him beat defenders only to cut back onto is right foot and rifle it into two CBs enough times to become frustrated, and I'm not even a Napoli fan.

De Bruyne or Schurrle? You have 50 million euros sitting around at home that you have no use for?

why the need for smart assery?

tell me, what will you gain?

we clearly have the money, thohir is throwing cash left and right... we just need to sell a bit first, cause players like guarin and hernanes are gonna be useless the whole season... sell em both + the money already planed to spend, and here you go... also, dont fly so much, they aint worth 50mill, schurle kinda floped in chelsea, so 25/30 is a reasonable price for him...

We can't afford Perisic for 20 million, and you're telling me you expect us to drop 30 million on Schurrle? You say Hernanes and Guarin will be useless this year, but then expect us to be able to sell them for a large enough sum of money to acquire better players. Other clubs aren't brain dead.

ET isn't throwing money anywhere...he's acquiring players on loan with the hope that we'll qualify for the UCL and THEN he'll actually have some money. Same with the aforementioned Perisic, we're attempting to acquire him on loan with a mandatory payment due next year. Wolfsburg is saying no to that for Perisic, so why would they say yes to that for an even better player?

It was reported Man City offered 47 million POUNDS for De Bruyne and were rejected, so try again.

Wtf y'all talking about, we're gonna get balotelli on loan and play jovetic behind balo-icardi. And we're also going to fight for 7th-5th
    ------------Milito.
    Pandev-----Sneijder-----Eto'o.
    ------Motta--Cambiasso.
    Zanetti-Samuel-Lucio-Maicon.
    -----------Julio Cesar.

What I found odd is that with exception of Salah, we are all chasing forwards that play better on the left side of the pitch. And the squad already has Jovetic, who can play there.

So the obvious target should be a right winger. And Inter had one, but dispatched it to Stoke.

We still have Schelotto. He will solve all our problem: right winger, vice-Icardi, next Cavani.

I would go for Ljajić instead of Mertens or Perotti. He is younger, he is talented, he is versatile and worth a risk much more then anyone we are connected with.

Of course it would be best to provide coach with what he wants (Perišić) but if its not possible then just continue with youth project, dont bring players like Mertens for season or two...

I dont think so! And even if I accept Mertens is slightly better at the moment, Ljajić have potential to be better player then Mertens will ever be.

    No Mertens, no Ljajic please!

I'm surprised by some people here on FIF! How could you guys say "please sign someone, anyone!"

After years of signing mediocre player how could you have such an attitude?

Are any of these players on the same level as Shaqiri? The answer is no! If we can't upgrade we shouldn't downgrade. Either sign someone proper or keep your moeny and sign a better replacement next summer.

No half-assed solutions please! We've already taken a big chance with Jovetic, we don't need another one.

See Napoli's CL qualifier v Bilbao at Naples from last season. Mertens was crazy in the 2nd half.

You can find crazy moments of Guarin too. Even crazier than Mertens.
