    Napoli - Inter (30 Nov 15) [2-1]

Some seasonal streaks are going to tumble... (Napoli stats include EL games)

    1. Goal-less?
Napoli - Have not conceded a goal in last 7 games, winning 6.
    vs
Inter - Have not conceded a goal in last 4 games, winning all 4.

    2. Goals?
Napoli - Have scored all 8 home games so far this season, at an average of 3 goals per game.
    vs
Inter - Have scored in each of their last 5 games at an average of 1.6 goals per game.

    3. Winning streak?
Napoli - Have won the last 4 games.
    vs
Inter - Have won the last 4 games.

    4. Unbeaten streak?
Napoli - Have not yet lost a game at home.
    vs
Inter - Have not yet lost a game away from home.

Something's gotta give. A true top of the table clash.

Tough game. They're undoubtedly the best side I've seen in the league this season. Higuain is playing like a beast, so is Insigne (he was terrible today and then he scored and assisted in the space of 5 minutes), and Allan has been the best midfielder in the league outside of Pjanic this season. Theoretically their midfield of Allan - Jorginho - Hamsik is pretty light weight and could be exposed by our strength and athleticism, but that's easier said than done. Their biggest weakness is still their central defense as both Abiol and Koulibaly are prone to mistakes. The latter is a terrible passer when pressured. The Napoli fans have started returning to the decrepit San Paolo recently too so I expect close to a full stadium. They've got a EL game before this, but I expect they'll play a second string side considering they're already guaranteed first in the group. I believe Mertens and Gabbiadini are both still injured.

This will be a big test. I expect Mancini to go for the defensive approach which in my opinion would be the correct one. If we could get out of there with a 0-0 I would be very happy.

Yup, so Napoli will have some rest after their EL game in which they will anyways rest key players. Does not matter, we have nothing to lose in this game - anything we get out of this is a bonus. As per my calculations, we need about an average of 2 points per game over the season to qualify got the CL. We are currently 4 points ahead of that schedule, which means we will be on track even if we lose a couple of games... looks like we have collected some nuts for the winter!

I agree with Shaun, we need to a bit more defensive and make it very difficult for Napoli to score. But I liked the shape of the team today, so this is what I would like to see:

    Icardi
    Ljajic - Jovetic - Brozovic
    Medel - Melo
    Telles - Murillo - Miranda - D'Ambrosio
    Handanovic

Or we can take Icardi out, play Jovetic as a lone striker with Perisic - Ljajic - Brozovic supporting him. A bit more defensive would be to play Juan in place of Telles. But thats about it - I hope we don't start Guarin or K-dog, they lose a lot of balls in the midfield and we cannot afford that against Napoli.

I'd like to start Juan at LB just for this. Telles was alright but not really tested. Although by the time this match rolls around Juan will not have played a competitive match in over 3 weeks so that might be an issue.

I think we will play similar formation like against Roma. Hopefully after this match we still hold the capolista.

This match will be hard, as we didn't win at Napoli for 15 years, and considering their great form. I believe Medel and Melo will obviously start.

This has Firentina written all over it again. I think we should have the lineup against Roma because we will deal with speed and a strong midfield/attack. Melo shouldn't start he is slow for these types of games. I would go more athletic with medel, bro,Kdog and Guarin. Speed and strength with two upfront.

Roma and Napoli both play very similar styles; it would be wise to use a similar approach. My only concern is that Napoli are much more dangerous in open play than Roma, and are probably the better team in possession. I believe they have the ability to break us down.

I read some stat that they lead the league in possession per game in the midfield area. I would probably load up on physicality, and resort back to the 4-3-1-2 with a combination of Brozovic - Melo/Medel - Kondogbia

Fully expecting Mancini will start Guarin though.

get that early first goal. keep holding the score line. switch to 3 man defense by playing Ranocchia in the last 20 or 15 minutes. make way for Icardi and Biabiany to create threat while they are attacking and caught off guarded. a sweet 1-0 victory. again.

    to the capolista and beyond...

I like morrisama's formation. Roma focus on playing over the sides with players like Salah, Gervinho and Florenzi. Napoli doesn't play that way. Most of there goals were scored with fantastic through balls or good one-two's.
If we can somehow break their game in the midfield we've got a decent chance of drawing. And with some individual magic from JoJo Ljajic or Perisic we could maybe even win it. Ultimately it comes down to how our center backs and defensive mids perform.

Also, shut down Insigne. The guy is on fire.
It will be called Internazionale, because we are brothers of the world.

One of our defenders should remind Higuain of his glorious missed penalty. Should take care of the cunt.

I cant wait for monday. Will be there, watching game live. Italian friend who bought me ticket said to me - "its a game of high risk, away supporters are banned or something like that. You will be alone, so please wear napoli scarf or shirt so they dont provoke or beat you."

Fuck them, recoba shirt and 100 anni scarf, they can fuck off. Or they can stab me in the gut for all i care if we win by 0-1 in the last minute via Melo goal

Napoli are not that strong like some of you here make them to be.

Pretty simple and one sided side. We are more defensive team, and we while scoring very few goals, still have more versatility when it comes to scoring those goals.

Its a really simple test this one, we just have to keep playing like we are playing. Mancio has an easy job for this, its not like Roma game, where we adjusted because of their wingers and their midfield.

This time its gonna be, man mark the living crap out of Higuain and win the game. Lets admit, they are not that danger without Higuain, its not like insignie is unstopable or some shit.

Cant believe im saying this, but just because of his fighting spirit and lack of commited fouls, start naga to mark inisgnie.

its simple guys, im telling you.

    reggaeton made me do it
