The spitting image of flair with very little substance. He doesn't have the character necessary to succeed at a top club let alone West Ham. Will probably go down as one of the absolute worst transfers in inter history, even worse than Gabigol when it's all said and done. I would take 20mil and run if that's the case.

    Joao Mario in Monaco talks
    By Football Italia staff

Joao Mario is in advanced negotiations for a transfer to Monaco, as Inter set the price-tag at €25m.

The Portugal international midfielder is not part of Antonio Conte’s plans and his salary is also a weight on the club finances.

According to FCInter1908, Joao Mario’s agent and intermediaries were at the Nerazzurri HQ this morning to discuss a move to Monaco.

It was a long meeting and it’s believed Inter have asked for €25m, while Monaco attempt to negotiate it down.

The 26-year-old was purchased from Sporting CP for €40m in the summer of 2016 after a bidding war with rivals Milan.

Joao Mario never really made an impact at San Siro and there was a six-month loan spell at West Ham United in 2018.
Luis Figo: "When I signed for Inter it was simply about looking for football happiness."

I guess we`re trying to sell him?

Why would we state the obvious and re-confirm his lousy attitude? Let`s not go full Icardi all over again

25M for Yoshi is just too good to be true.
Inter is an artistic venture, almost poetic. It is capable of provoking immense, unreachable joy and bitter disappointment. It’s never done by half-measures.
For me, Inter is the opening to new worlds and courage. It’s a strong passion, a marvellous illness. You can put up with the weaknesses and admire the courage, the same way you would with a son.

By your logic, why would we need to state the obvious and do any sort of reconfirmation at all?

This is why the ambiguous announcement leaves an ambiguity in Perisic. If you do one, then it pays to be consistent and explicit.

I shouldn’t need to teach the management this. I would expect them to know.

Doesn't look like the Monaco offer will be good enough...some kind of paid loan with OPTION to buy....they will never take up that option.

May have better luck selling to China:

Yeah only thing rumored is that Inter has set a price-tag. No rumors of even offers, apart from these loan BS Inter-style offers.

I'd take 10+Jovetic or something... A half abled Jovetic for the SS role would be much better than anything we waste money on unless it's a top player - which it most definitely not be - so I'd take such an offer and run.

I think the rumored 25m is for the resemblance to Yoshi and not for Mario's virtually nonexistent midfield skills.

FCIN1908 / Inter, breakthrough Joao Mario: when his contract with Kia expires, Mendes will cut in. The news
For the sale of Joao Mario we will have to wait for the month of August. Monaco remains the most popular destination for the Portuguese player

The outgoing Inter market does not take off and the long timings have started to make even Antonio Conte nervous, who at the beginning of his Nerazzurri adventure was certainly expecting greater speed from the management in closing, above all, the blows to reinforce the department offensive.

There are different reasons for the stalemate, on all the difficulties of Inter to sell some profiles - now become ballast - that do not fall within the ‘contiana idea’ of football. So in addition to the well-known purged Icardi, Nainggolan and the new entry Perisic, in midfield stands the name of Joao Mario on which the Milanese company is counting on being able to recover the money needed to finally shore up the team.

For the Portuguese, - despite polls in recent weeks from the Premier League - the destination of Leonardo Jardim's Monaco remains in vogue. Already in recent weeks FCINTER1908.IT has extensively analyzed the situation on the concrete interest of the Monegasques who, unlike what it may seem, has not weakened at all: the parties are in daily contact and the negotiation goes on; moreover, the last visit to the new headquarters in via della Liberazione by intermediaries dates back to a few days ago.

In detail, - according to what was exclusively collected by FCINTER1908.IT - due to budgetary needs, by June 30th the deal initially envisaged the request by the Nerazzurri for a sum exceeding 30mln. After that date, however, Inter lowered the claims on the cost of the card to about 25mln, with negotiable bonuses. The Monaco remains therefore very interesting to the pupil of Jardim and after having taken the other Portuguese André Silva from Milan, in the coming weeks he will give the decisive starting point to bring the former Sporting in the Principality.

Rumors gathered from sources close to the deal, specifically refer to a lunge that should take place from the first of August. Why just from August 1st? Because on this date the mandate that Joao Mario had given to Kia Joorabchian will expire and that so far has been one of the major obstacles for the eventual transfer.

Therefore, Inter and Antonio Conte will only have to wait. The Lusitanian midfielder has a clear idea of what his future will be and strongly wants to put behind him the limbo of these years between Serie A and Premier League. The ball now passes to Jorge Mendes and his entourage, who will deal with the negotiation and who are ready to move the right cards to comply with the demands of the parties in the coming weeks.

    FUCKING KIA!

Me too. Even after the fucking interview in England last year, I hoped somehow he would turn the ship around and made himself useful.
I still keep the idea he was a victim of Spalletti! In a more stable environment with a coach who knows and teach what to expect from him, he could have been a different story.
I remember last year he had a string of good games. Against Napoli at Milano, we voted him man of the match. He started a number of games and began to find his place in the midfield. What did Spalletti? Bench him and fucked every bit of confidence he had.
Don't understand me wrong! He was and is not Inter material. He would never justify the robbery price we pay! But he has more potential that the muppet he turned out to be!

Impossible, especially if Bale heading there. They can only have maximum 4 foreigners and they've got Teixeira, Eder, Miranda, Paletta.

Brighton are battling Monaco to sign Inter midfielder Joao Mario, according to Sportitalia. The Portugal international is on the market with a price-tag of approximately €30m.

He has been heavily linked with a move to Monaco, perhaps in a double deal with wing-back Dalbert. However, Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà claims this afternoon that Premier League side Brighton have made a firm offer for Joao Mario.

It’s believed the player, who has some Premier League experience on loan at West Ham United, is considering it, but would prefer Monaco.

So hard to believe this title

Let's all hope and pray for one of these unfortunate clubs to win the battle and take him of our books.
