10 - Will be one of the absolutely best players in the history of the game (think Meazza, Matheus)
9 - Will be one of the club legends, and become one of the best players in the world of their era
8 - A player of very good quality, who will add much to the team, one of the best nationalwise
7 - Good player, a valuble asset of a team, one of the 10-15 best on his position in the country
6 - Above average player, who will be usefull, but will never be a key player for a team
5 - Completely average player
4 - Below average, not a disaster, but would be better if we didn't sign him in the first place
3 - Anonymous player who will never be remembered through the fact nobody expected anything from him
2 - Close to a useless player, who will add nothing to the team besides filling the CL quota
1 - Crap, shit, useless player, worst buisness ever, Mancini, Quaresma and Gresko combined
Oh, we can compete (and beat) with any EPL club on stupidity - specially between the Mourinho and Spalletti stints. I was merely implying that the EPL clubs have money to throw around.
Actually buying Gabigol now is less stupid than it was 3 years ago. Flamengo ain't being stupid.
Its easy to sell him, just do 28-25 with a future sale %. I do agree with people who say he didn't get a chance but issue is he looks really slow as a player, no acceleration whatsoever and likes to play like he has all day on the ball. Maybe he will develop as a good poacher who knows.

I mean to an EPL team, to anyone in Brazil a deal can be done for future sale + cash like 10M + future player option
Brace vs Gremio in a 5-0 semi final thrashing to meet River in the Libertadores final. First goal was very well executed, the second was a PK.
Noi non siamo gobbi di merda
Conte uomo di merda
I don't think anyone expected him to score this many goals when we shipped him back to Brazil
Grande Gabigol
i dont t hink anyone DIDNT expect him to do this. his problem wasnt goal scoring,it was IQ and tactics.
After scoring, he pointed to the Flamengo badge on his shirt and pointed down to the ground, seemingly implying "I'm staying here."
I read somewhere that we'd reached an agreement with Flamengo but the team and player hadn't agreed on his new contract yet. Part of me hopes he goes on to win and star in the Copa Libertadores final, and that some fools elsewhere try to buy him but that's just my greed talking.
Even still, I can't help but feel that €18m + 25% of future sale is a taaaad low.
**I move away from the mic to breathe in
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And how did you judge his IQ? The guy didn't have a single rumor of being involved in some extra sportive activities , being late to training or whatever else. And for sure you cant judge his IQ from the few minutes he had on the field.
For me , his only problem was the marketing done by the club as the next future start of football.
Due to that, everyone expected this flashy brazilian kid who would dribble past italian defenders like it was nothing and shoot just curved balls in the corner of the net. So even the coaches played him on the wing and expected the guy to do stuff that are just not part of his repertoire .
He is a nr.9. Think Icardi , just someone who plays in the center , moves off ball to create space for himself and shoots. Everything about his career shows that if played like a striker he can actually score.
Now if we don't need such player than it is another discussion but if you play him on the wing and expect him to be Mbappe and he doesn't deliver than it's not his fault. In my opinion , if in the end of December we are qualified for next CL stage and are still in discussion about any italian trophy , would be very strange to keep going forward with Politano/Sanchez as back up strikers when we would have such a motivated asset in our hands.
Then if he fails as a striker in the 3-5-2 formation as well then it's his fault but until then , saying no to less then 20M that Flamengo is offering would be the wisest decision. If someone offers 30+ it's another discussion
I think Barbosa coming back to Inter and succeeding would be a great story. To date, I have been in the sell him camp but I feel that expectations were way to high when he first arrived. I feel that Inter placed a great deal of pressure on his shoulders by paying 30 million for him. At the time of his arrival, he was a 19 year old kid from Brazil, arriving at one of the craziest clubs in Serie A in one of the most tumultuous spells in the club's history, both in terms of ownership and coaching changes. In terms of the latter, we had Frank de Boer as coach, who with the exception of Ajax, has failed everywhere he has coached. And then there is the fact that he came to Serie A which is hardly an easy league to for players to find their feet. Should we really be surprised that Barbosa did not succeed at Inter?
Personally, I feel the argument is immaterial because the chance of him being recalled and given an opportunity to prove himself is next to zero. Having said that, I feel that Conte would be the best person to assess him and the environment around the team that presently prevails would be perfect for a new player coming into the team. However, if we decide to sell him, I will not be disappointed or hold a wake in his honor.

The Brazilian league nor any South American League is any good
A player who was a sub or 3rd string in Colombia went there and beasting.
Only remote good team in SA is River but even them non of their players are good enough to start for us.
Even then they are over priced for someone who will need to be loaned out to get ready for Europe. South American players I don’t know have 0 conditioning. You watch a South American game and unless they play in Europe they don’t have abs. Lot are kind of fat actually.
VAR is some serious Bullshit!
I don't care that he's the top scorer of the Brazilian league. It means NOTHING. It might salvage an extra five to ten million Euros of his value, great. We knew he could score in Brazil, he did so as a teenager. It make sense that he's scoring more goals now that he's a man. This isn't an exciting development nor is it a noteworthy development. Wake me up when he's off our books.
Flamengo President Landim: “Talks With Inter Over Gabigol At Preliminary Stage”
Rodolfo Landim, the president of Flamengo, has confirmed it is their intention to sign Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa on a permanent basis from Inter.
“For the moment there is no news, but we are negotiating with Inter. Negotiations are at a preliminary stage. Do we want to buy him outright? Yes, of course. He is doing very well for us,” he remarked in an interview with CalcioMercato.it.
“We have been in constant contact for a few weeks, I don’t know if at the moment there is a definite appointment to close, but we are talking about it.”
He was then asked why he thinks the 23-year-old struggled at Inter.
“I believe there are many reasons. It is not easy to adapt to a new country, to a language you do not know, to different customs but here he is very happy.”
He concluded: “Would his best choice be to remain with Flamengo? Well I really think so. I see him happy wearing our shirt. With us he has performed with extraordinary consistency.”
According to Fabrizio Romano, there's an agreement between Inter and Flamengo over Barbosa. 18-19m plus a future sale percentage. The player wants to wait few weeks for any offer from Europe before making his decision.
He just made one goal and two assists and bring Flamengo win 3-1 yesterday.
Flamengo is on the verge of winning the league and also go through the final of Copa Libertadores.
If they win the league and Copa Libertadores, it will be the greatest achievement for Flamengo in the history with Gabigol in it.
I think winter is the perfect time to sold him! there will be no other time better
Ok , so he was called up for the previous 2 friendlies of Brazil , barely played some minutes and now is not called at all for the next 2 ?
If he isn't called even with the shortage of strikers that this Brazil has then maybe he hasn't improved in spite of the number of goals scored.
