Nothing big. But it's nice to know that this year's performances have been recognised somewhere.

Great news, so according to the stats of all times, we are the greatest club in history?

This should be shown to gloryhunters who only look at the past 5-6 years and judge. It's really nice to know that

The moment I saw Man Utd in 3rd position, I stopped reading.

C'mon! I am 100% sure that they are enduring their worst finish of the EPL season. Milan, Arsenal & Chelsea knocked them out of the CL, FA Cup & League Cup respectively. What did they do to deserve to be above Arsenal, Juventus, Chelsea & Barcelona?

Han, it is historic, meaning all-time stats. Don't be a glory-hunter like and see the near past only

If it is all-time and historic, then what the hell is Newcastle doing in 6th place? Above Barcelona and Real Madrid.

But for IFFHS for recognising us.

Need I remind you again that it's historic?

Barca aren't the greatest club historically. They only won one european cup, and have endured many droughts. Newcastle may have been bad as of late, but they always performed well in England, but not so in Europe. Their past season was their worse ever.

I don't know about Real, they should be much higher than that.

No Hamed, I got it when you said that it's historic.

Newcastle have never win the Champions' League (Cup) and I think they haven't even enjoy half the domestic success that Barca have. And putting them above Dopentus is outragoeus. Maybe IFFHS mistook them because of their jerseys.

Liverpool is the most successful English club ever and they do not even make the top 10.

But well, anyway. Kudos for us this year for performing so well.

Those IFFHS guys have to be smoking something awfully strong for making a list like that. Thought atleast were on top of it I guess.
    INTER - 2006-2007 - SCUDETTO
    ------------ADRIANO-----IBRAHIMOVIC
    --------------------LUIS FIGO
    -----STANKOVIC---CAMBIASSO---P. VIEIRA
    F. GROSSO----SAMUEL---CORDOBA---J. ZANETTI
    --------------------F. TOLDO

I consider a list like this absolute bullshit that should seriously be taken with a grain of salt. The IFFHS people need to specify if the list is of all time or just this season. Criteria certainly seems a little off, considering that 5 time CL and current holders Liverpool fail to hold a top ten place, but League Champs Rubentus (with 27) fail to finish impressively as well. Overall, this award is similar to our unbeaten run, impressive, but not all that helpful.

This stats takes as well the small trophies, such as Coppa del rey, coppa Italia, Carling cup etc. So, maybe that's why teams like Liverpool, Barca and Real don't have many points.

Juventus won 27 league titles, the most in Italy. Liverpool won 18 league titles, the most in England. Also, 5 European Cups, a record only matched by AC Milan and Real Madrid. Real Madrid won 29 league titles, the most in Spain. Also, 9 European Cups, a record matched by none. Barcelona may only have 1 European Cup but I think they won 18 league titles. Also, Ajax have won 25 league titles and 4 European Cups.

Newcastle? 4 league titles, 6 FA Cups and 1 UEFA Cups.

Milan's record is also definitely better than us but perhaps they listened to Frisko and deducted Milan 5 Scudetti per relegation.

Anyway, why are we even arguing about this? I can't believe it. Is this some sort June Fool prank, Don Ham?

Edit: I misread your last post as, "This stat takes away the small trophies <snip>" It still doesn't change my opinion that the list IFFHS produced is full of cacca.

this list is bullshit. If I said to my friends '...well Inter is top of the IFFHS list!' they'd laugh at me because it's such a stupid ranking system.

Being top of this is not something to be proud of, it's not even something worth mentioning.

Look at ESPN's ranking for an accurate, up to date list.

    Inter number 1 in world

MILAN - Inter and Liverpool remain top of the new IFFHS (International Federation of Football History and Statistics, www.iffhs.de) ranking, updated after May's results. Both the Reds and the Nerazzurri defended their joint leading position in the Club World Ranking by means of national cup victories, while Barcelona make up ground on the leading pair thanks to their Champions League triumph. UEFA Cup winners Seville climb from twelfth to fourth place, with Roma dropping one spot to fifth. Reigning world champions São Paulo are joint-tenth with Rapid Bucharest.

It seems a little weird to me not to see Juve, or Milan in there with us being there. Taking all the caliopoli stuff aside they have won much more than us in the past. Makes very little sense to me.

I think the people running it are Inter fans
