was impressed with his freekick and calmness on the ball that being said his first touch was poor at times.

I don't watch a ton of the youth team, but it always seemed to me Emmers was the better product. He's also gotten a few more call ups.

We've got a stacked youth team right now. Last time I remember knowing this many young products was when we one the Next Gen Cup. Unfortunately none of those kids are still at Inter but at least a lot of them went on to be decent pros.

Why not just give chance for a kid or two in a first team? For fucking once? They are not good enough for that? How Roma manage to do it and they end up being ahead in the table for several seasons.

Only Florenzi, and people keep bring this overrated talk about other team success promoting their youth into first team while the fact is just a myth.

Juve : Marchisio, Pinsoglio (3rd gk)
    Roma : De Rossi, Florenzi
Milan : Donnaruma, Calabria, Locatelli, Cutrone and Abate, Antonelli (they sells to other team before buyback)

Biraghi, Baselli both have developed good first team players. Imagine we didn't sell them and played them always. Would have grown interistis to the backbone now. We just have to give that trust to Zaniolo or Emmers like we gave to Santon 10 yrs ago. Just because Santon became flop doesn't mean the rest are gonna have the same destiny. Personally I never seen any potential in him, always thought he was overrated.

we need to be in desperately mode like Milan when their first team player is garbage and they didnt have much choice. Cutrone would end up like Pinamonti if they had Great striker like Icardi, Donnaruma probably will only eating the bench at most if they had great goalkeeping like Handa. Calabria hit jackpot with Conti and Abate long injured. Now even if we didnt buy anyone its pretty much our starting eleven got covered well except maybe for Fullback position which I believe Valietti had more chances to make it than any other primavera.

Not true actually . Thy do believe and give chances to youngsters more than us.
Miha benched Storari or Abiati i can't reall to play Donarumma.
    Calabria benched Abatte
    Locatelli benched Montolivo
    Cutrone benched Kalinic/Silva (60M players)

Now its true that Abate, Montolivo or Kalinic are not world beaters but neither are Dambrosio/Santon/Naga , Vecino/Borja or Eder and yet we keep playing them instead of youngsters.
When we had no defenders we played Santon as a CB instead of using a primavera (ok vanheusden was injured but still our primavera managed to produce a top talent like Bettela) .
When Karamoah was clearly showing potential and ability we refused to give him minutes and played Eder in every possible position.
When Icardi got injured we never used Pinamonti except a coppa italia match vs pordenone , and even there he was the one to get replaced in half time like all the fault was his for our shitty performance.
And i can go long on this.

There are managers/clubs that trust youngsters and ones who don't. Spalletti has always been the latter. From what i can remember Benitez and De Boer were the only coaches we have had recently who trusted youngsters despite the club philosophy.
Rafa used to play in CL with an attack composed by Coutinho , Eto and Biabiany while De Boer benched Kondogbia to play Gnoukuri.

Sold for 4.5 million and a 15% sell on clause. Pretty good business for a player who never even made his debut.

Former Inter youth talent Nicolo Zaniolo’s father has recalled a time when his son was deemed not good enough in the wake of his call-up to the Italian national team for the upcoming fixtures with Poland and Portugal in the new UEFA Nations League.

After three years at Fiorentina, they told us that he was not up to Fiorentina’s Primavera standard. The Virtus Entella staff done a good job sniffing him out and allowed him to make his debut in Serie B, before he left for Inter and Roma,” Igor Zaniolo explained in an interview with Il Secolo XIX.

He proceeded to speak on his son’s call-up under former Inter boss Roberto Mancini, who has called upon several young players in his first squad for competitive action since taking charge back in May.

“His attorney Stefano Castelnovo did not know if the national team call-up was true or not so Nicolò called the Roma team manager who confirmed it was true.”

The 19-year-old midfielder left Inter in the summer for Roma as part of a deal that sent Radja Nainggolan to the San Siro having spent just a season on the books of the Nerazzurri, where he was one of the main protagonists in the Primavera continuing their recent record of success, scoring 14 goals and tallying 11 assists in 35 games across all competitions.

Goddamn. 14 goals and 11 assists as a midfielder? Ridiculous stats for a 19 year old. Then again, Longo was also amazing.

According to GdS, Zaniolo could start alongside De Rossi and Nzonzi against Real. It will be bizarre in the least if he makes his CL debut before his Serie A one.
