    Kwadwo Asamoah

Kwadwo Asamoah will be out of contract this June and now multiple sources confirmed that we offered him a contract, as his contract is expiring this June.

Born: December 9, 1988 (age 29), Kumasi, Ghana
    Height: 1.73 m
Name in home country: Kojo Kwadwo Asamoah
Position: Left Midfield, Left wing-back, Left-Back, Central Midfield
    Foot: left

A dynamic, hardworking, energetic, versatile and tactically intelligent player, Asamoah is primarily known for his pace, strength, stamina, and his outstanding technical characteristics, as well as his ability to read the game; although he primarily serves as a ball-winner, these attributes allow him to be effective both offensively and defensively, and enable him to play in several positions along the pitch in defence or midfield. A predominantly left-footed player, with Juventus, Asamoah has usually been deployed as a full-back, wing-back, or wide-midfielder on the left flank, although he had previously also been used in the centre as a defensive, central, box-to-box, or offensive midfielder prior to joining the club.

In addition to his physical and athletic attributes, he is a very agile footballer, with good vision and an ability to make attacking runs and get into good offensive positions from which he can create chances for teammates with throughballs or deliveries into the area from the wing; he is also a neat passer, a powerful striker of the ball from distance, and a skilful dribbler. Despite his ability, Asamoah has often been sidelined through injury.
    Current market value = €12.5m
    Transfer fee = €18m [2012, Udinese » juBentus]
    Highest market value = €22m [2014]
    Salary = €2.3m [2017]

Corriere dello Sport is now reporting that he has agreed a deal with the Nerazzurri.

The newspaper believes he has agreed on a three-year contract, with a salary of around €3m, not including bonuses.

The Ghanaian will not be engaging in the World Cup next year and thus will be at Appiano Gentile starting July. He is considered a signing of great experience and reliability.”

Kwadwo Asamoah has chosen Inter: this confirmation has arrived from Rai Sport. Apparently the player’s representatives have decided to reject Napoli to accept Inter offer of three years, three million per season.

Ghana haven’t qualified for the World Cup, so Asamoah will be available for pre-season training straight away.

Tuttosport has also reported that the 29-year-old will also get €300,000 in bonuses which will be intrinsically linked with the number of games an results.

    ---

Nice catch, versatile and seems professional enough. No brainer to me, adding high profile Serie A proven players for free. Welcome to the asylum

the very sad thing is that this absolutely average leftback would be an improvement for us.
My username has nothing to do with the player of liverpool fc, it is a reference to an Italian novel.

Yeah, he was a beast before his injury problems but he is a solid player. Tbh, he's Serie A proven and solid in his role but and it's a big but his Gobbi past doesn't help.

Honestly, for those of us who suffered with Nagatomo for years and are frustrated with Dalbert, Asamoah is actually a massive improvement.

Asamoah will be improvement on the historically shitty LB position for us. If we can send Santon and Nagatomo packing, we dont lose anything. They are together close to 3m€ a year. And then theres Dalbert.

He is pretty strong physically and can beat his opponent, he is also a hard working player, and well known for his agility, besides of that he has lots of experience. How is that an average leftback for you? There aren't many better fullbacks than him in this league.

Getting him would have been a pretty good move considering how much we have been suffering lately with the fullbacks.

Though our back line would look pretty solid with additions of Asamoah and De Vrij respectively.

Defensively he'll probably be an improvement. His passing is absolutely atrocious though and he's not a good crosser either.

    Asamoah to Inter ‘confirmed’?
    By Football Italia staff

Galatasaray boss Fatih Terim is quoted as confirming Inter will sign Kwadwo Asamoah in the summer.

Asamoah has been linked with a move to Inter, given his Juventus contract expires at the end of the season, but Fatih appeared to suggest Asamoah would be replacing Yuto Nagatomo, who is currently on loan at Gala.

“You’ll have Asamoah in the summer, show us the same understanding you have in January for Yuto,” the former Fiorentina and Milan boss is said to have told Nerazzurri Vice-President Javier Zanetti, reports Fotosport.

Nagatomo joined the Turkish giants on loan in January and has slotted straight in at the Turk Telekom Arena, but there is uncertainty over whether his arrangement includes an option to buy.
Luis Figo: "When I signed for Inter it was simply about looking for football happiness."

That's my thought as well. What's the point of signing someone at a level of players we already have?

Who is this player you’re referring to? Santon? Dalbert? D’Ambrosio at leftback?

He's a better wingback maybe but as a fullback I'm not sure. He's a pretty good midfielder, a pretty good wingback, and an okay fullback. Definitely not the same player he was pre-injury either

Cancelo and DDA on the right, Dalbert and Asamoah on the left, seems pretty ok to me.

Asamoah is definitely an improvement over Nagatomo. If Dalbert steps up then Asamoah as a backup is not so bad.
