[Fabrizio Romano] Inter already preparing contracts & medicals for Godin. They believe they can close the deal shortly.

From now we never know whose target Godin is. Marotta and Ausilio are working together, they should share the same credits. Di Marzio might simply see Ausilio as the direct negotiator.

If Barca or United came to Marotta and Ausilio offering €100m for Skriniar, guaranteed they would seriously think about selling him. No Interista wants to see Skriniar leave but we're not the ones in charge. That's a lot of money for a club who has had it's fair share of financial difficulties over the years.

Simeone wants to win CL and he will give Godin to us in January? Otherwise what's the deal with the planned medicals? Godin's January transfer seems kinda far-fetched.

Godin replacing Miranda is a world class move.
Wish we do some same moves in the fucking midfield.

For everyone wondering why we aren't getting a midfielder but a defender - it's because when an opportunity to sign a WC defender for free pops-up, you take it and run. It's not an either-or situation anyway.
Inter is an artistic venture, almost poetic. It is capable of provoking immense, unreachable joy and bitter disappointment. It’s never done by half-measures.
For me, Inter is the opening to new worlds and courage. It’s a strong passion, a marvellous illness. You can put up with the weaknesses and admire the courage, the same way you would with a son.

Juan Mata can boost our midfield .
Maybe Rabiot if we had money.

I mean Defense is our last priority, because we already had good defense.
When Our midfield is awful, we must fix it ASAP.

Oh good we finally signed a defender! A CB was utterly needed on the team, exactly what we were missing.

With this team we can win the CL next year

Godin ain’t coming here to sit on the bench. We could have kept Miranda happy if spallo would have done more rotation to give all 3 center backs equal playing time. I’m scared we either selling Skriniar or benching De Vrij for Godin. As long as we don’t sell Skriniar I’ll be happy.

Idk I hope spallo can manage to keep everyone happy with playing time. He didn’t give Miranda enough playing time to keep him happy so idk. Someone is being sold.

I'm ecstatic to be honest. Plus, if no one gets sold then it does signal a shift to a back 3 I think. Or maybe it's more along the lines of a certain Argentinian arriving.

Spalletti has given Miranda enough playing time in the beginning of the season. He used to rotate Skriniar - De Vrij or Skriniar - Miranda. However, Miranda was more prone to mistakes and lost focus in some games. He lost his competition to De Vrij.

People saying they don't want him cos they are afraid he will bench De Vrij. How do you expect to go into next season with central depth? This is a world class move to avoid a BS Lisandro Lopez situation again.

Lol those that are thrilled havent seen Atleti play on regular basis for ages.

Godin is just a shadow of his former self. Last season he was one of Atleticos worst players, this season even more. He is rapidly declining being directly at dault for most conceded goals of Atletico, and wont get better. And he is 33. People remember him when he was de facto one of the best CBs in the world few years ago. If not the best.

He is OK transfer on bosman to be our 3rd CB, but i doubt he will accept the bench. He will also want lots of money, considering he is 3rd best payed player at Atleti, just after Griezmann and Koke. He earns 8m NET atm. I doubt he would come for much less.

That beinf said, he is still solid, and its not a bad transfer. But nothing to be thrilled about either.

Id do it right of the bat. In today's world of soccer, you cant get attached to a player anymore, or better said, you cant expect to have a player FOREVER. There's lot more money involved, and sometimes you cant's say no to a ridiculous high offer.
Skriniar helped us get to CL, Skriniar will help us get our shitty money situation back in order again, after so many years, so all hail Skriniar, and maybe bring him back later on
