Waste of money. Lets just admit it that we will never really "develop" a goalkeeper for the senior team. Most likely to replace Handanovic, we will buy a GK who is already very good and proven at Serie A or equivalent level. That is the most sensible thing to do for a position as important and long term as a GK. And thats what we have done in the last 3-4 decades, and this is one position we have mostly done well.

We have only had 7 starting keepers since 1983, and only one of them was a flop (Frey):

Zenga, Pagliuca, Peruzzi, Frey, Toldo, Cesar, Handanovic

    That is exceptional.

If this kid is for example the next Allison or Ederson is it really a waste of money? We can’t afford those types of players once they are already performing. The hard part is going to be finding him the right loan club. But I think it’s a great idea if they see that level of potential in him. Remember we also loaned Cesar and Roma also loaned Allison.

Cesar and Alisson came as a complete player though.

If we really get this boy, we need to let him play in Brazil for 2 - 3 more years, then only brings him to Europe.

The ideal player which can replace Handanovic is Alisson. ( Last year before Liverpool come)

    Or maybe Jan Oblak.

    But they are very expensive.

I think Oblak will come if we had much money, and Simeone.

This brazillian boy is not proven, I prefer wait Radu.

Heard we re getting Messi, Luis Suarez and KDB in this transfer window as well, Oblak or Alisson would be a cherry on the top of this!

According to Sky, the team Inter want to send Brazao to is Chievo Verona. Il nuovo Julio Cesar?

If we spend minimal on Brazao it could be a bargain. Radu should get a shot for the number 1 if he continues to play well for Genoa.

Cruzeiro vice-president confirmed they have received a 2.5m offer from an Italian club for Gabriel Brazao and the president is evaluating it. He couldn't reveal the name of the club as the Italian club has asked them not to until they accept the proposal. According to Brazilian journalists, this club probably is Chievo Verona.

ok, this is a joke. but on a more serious note, the day we will have to replace handanovic i wouldn't want perin. he's already spent more than 12 months off the pitch (two times X around 6 months each time) because of ligament ruptures.
My username has nothing to do with the player of loserpool fc, it is just a reference to an Italian novel.

Inter-Chievo, meeting to discuss a Brazao deal in synergy

Inter and Chievo are meeting to discuss a deal that would happen in synergy. Inter are working on acquiring Gabriel Brazao, Brazilian goalkeeper of Cruzeiro. The summit with the leaders of Chievo is taking place at the nerazzurri headquarters and discussing a deal that should not cost more than 1 million euro.

The player would arrive in Italy to wear the Chievo shirt, and successively the Inter shirt later. The meeting is not only taking place for Brazao, as it could apply to other youngsters as well. Inter, in fact, is observing Emanuel and Samuele Vignato closely. Two prospects in Chievo's youth system.

Will he start for Chievo? If not why not keep him in Brazil as a starter till we can use him as our #2?

Don`t know about Chievo, but keeping him in brazil is not helping our cause.

NON-EU passport hit is being taken by Chievo like this, he can start learning the language and adapt to italian requirements/way of training. The sooner, the better.

Looks like we are giving them youngster Felice D'Amico for taking on Brazao right now.

Inter close deal for Brazilian goalkeeper Brazao in synergy with Chievo: the details

Inter are set to close a deal for the future. The Nerazzurri have in fact reached an agreement for 2000-born goalkeeper Brazao from Cruzeiro for 2.4 million plus bonuses.

The Brazilian, who will sign a 5-year-contract and will join Chievo before heading to Inter, is currently playing the South American U-20 Championship in Chile with Brazil. After signing the contract that an emissary will bring to him in Chile, Brazao will arrive in Italy after the tournament's end in mid-February and will play with Chievo until the end of the season.

Even if he flops thats a great deal, we'd struggle to get a backup keeper for that much

With the hype around Brazilian keepers it will be hard for us not to recoup that money as soon as he gets a few Serie A appearances. If he turns out to be the next Alisson, Ederson or Julio Cesar even better
