He's a good signing, but brilliant is a bit much.

Asamoah was solid in the first 1.5 months of the season.

Since then he became trash and most people wanted to see Dalbert on who is certified crap.
Asamoah had picked it up a bit since the Juventus game but he was completely exposed vs Napoli.

He's not a bad player, but he's not even an average left back. I'd even trust D'Ambrosio more there if only Cedric wasn't a liability as well.
Nothing to do with where he was playing before coming, just where he is playing in the pitch.

He had a good game. Sure he fucks up now and then or has a vapor lock moment where he loses the ball in the most unnecessary of ways, but tonight he was stellar. What he did tonight - clever subtle feints, beating his man and delivering some decent crosses is what I wanted Perisic to do all along past season. I've said this a bunch of times last season but it's a waste to deploy him in the backline.
To be fair - Lecce had a major gap on his flank and allowed him quite a bit of space, but still. Perisic leaving is the best thing that could've happened to him. He did run out of gas around the final quarter of the match but that is understandable given the preseason.

Played fantastic according to me. Those passes from Candreva too, amazing. Candreva can finally use his bad crosses as passes instead to Asamoah

What's the issue here? D'ambrosio has always been solid role player regardless of where he was played at.

Lets not get confused of the past. He may have had the fighter spirit of Medel and Melo but he aint been a solid player in any way.

I liked Asamoah`s game a lot, his 1st touch is perfect and ball control skills are excellent, should take Lukaku with him and show him how to do it

Almost scored a goal with that diagonal low-shot. Let`s keep up the good work.

D'ambrosio has shat all over the Inter careers of Medel and Melo despite not even being very good at football.

I'd take Gargano infront of Dambrosio when it comes to fighting spirit though.

Absolute beast today. Sadly his counterpart was shit today, but without him on the pitch, we would never have retained the score.
