I can't warm to this fucker at all. Fucks up everything all the time aside from the odd flick here and there and people jizz themselves. Can't trap a ball first time bounces everywhere and looks like bambi, all arms and legs. Then throws his arms everywhere. De vrij played him a ball over the top and he completely lost it. Not good enough, unless he starts actually scoring for us. If not, let's hope he keeps scoring with Argentina and we can fuck him off on barca.

I just dont see what he even brings to the table. His movements look off. He's painfully slow. Havent fully given up on him just yet, but waiting to actually see something from him..

Very frustrating. Cant even control the ball properly and falls down with every touch. Politano in 10 minutes showed more than Martinez in 80 minutes. Bench please until he wakes up. Play Sanchez or Politano.

This kid seriously need to buy proper footwear..or perhaps we should sack those staffs who installed fucking wheels on his shoes....
jk aside, he had some 0 balance and fall down everytime he touched the ball FFS. Very poor first touch, unnecessary driblling with some crazy flick kinda frustrating to watch. Come on Toro, I know you are talented, work your ass off to improve, get a grip and be a star.
Very poor performance last night , 1 of the 4 fuckers of the game ( him, Luka, Bro and Gagsy )

We did not play well as a team. The poor and panicked manner in which we played did not bring Lautaro into the game nor use his strengths properly. The Slavia match was definitely more of a team and coaching failure than an individual failure.

However, Lautaro needs to learn how to 'weather the storm' when a match isn't going to plan. He needs to learn how to knuckle down and get the basics right to help the team gain control of the match in small ways.

When things aren't working out, it isn't diving and no-look backheel flicks that will boost the team. Being reliable is what helps, and these aspects of his game are not reliable - especially not when we're chasing a result or having a poor game.

What will help the team is being reliable with the fundamentals. It's staying focused and disciplined to maintain both ball possession and our shape. It's controlling and holding the ball to bring others into play and not get caught in transition. It's being an avenue for ball distribution and making runs. These are the 'small' fundamentals that will help the team inch forward and get a grasp and gain some control over the match.

These are also the things Lautaro is consistently poor at. These are my main problems with the player in general and why I'm much less convinced about the kid than many of you. That said, he's still young and needs time and trust to put it all together.

Yeah, the pointing and whining when he doesn't get the ball is getting on my nerves already.
Inter is an artistic venture, almost poetic. It is capable of provoking immense, unreachable joy and bitter disappointment. It’s never done by half-measures.
For me, Inter is the opening to new worlds and courage. It’s a strong passion, a marvellous illness. You can put up with the weaknesses and admire the courage, the same way you would with a son.

Feels like he's thinking too much of himself and he's already thinking he's better than those around him just because he played well with the national team. It's always tough to ask a South American to keep his head down and just work his ass off but that's exactly what he needs to do.

Exactly what I was thinking. i was excited to see him play after he got back from those friendlies, as he was full with confidence. Instead, he became overconfident, got selfish and did shit.

Hopefully it was just this game and he goes back to be a team player. little selfishness is not bad for a forward, but he was way too selfish.

His selfishness and petulance is a fair criticism - he needs to work harder and play better for the team. He isn't the type of striker that seems to be able to pick up the team's play if the team is playing poorly - but not many players can do that.

I saw him as one of our better players, willing to fight great on the ball and created his own chances.

The problem was the support from midfield during our press was lacking and the balls didn't come, that's why I feel none of the strikers are at fault because Gagliardini and Brozovic were abysmal.

There was one in the second half, just before he came off, he was about 10 yards away from the passer and he just stood there waiting for the ball and the defender got out in front of him and won back possession. His and lukaku inability to hold the ball up the other night was insane. The commentator said it looked like neither him or lukaku wanted to be the player to drop deep and receive the ball, which is why we looked much better when politano came on and done just that

He didn’t have a good start to the season but I am not worried about his development. He is still very young and Conte will eventually get his mindset straight. Wheter he will become a top striker or just „good” remains to be seen but it’s still very early to write him off. He will eventually improve, I have no doubt about it.

I dont know where people get that confidence in him from he s shown a lot of potential but imho thats it. From the top of my mind there are Keita, Jovetic Zarate, el sharaawy, balo and cassano who all showed more on the pitch in serie a at a younger age than Martinez and none of them amounted to anything special. Yes they all got to italy earlier or are from italy so they got an advantage there but I still dont see what makes martinez so much different that he s a sure thing.

Again yes he s talented yes he has a lot of potential and yes he s not gotten enough chances last year but from what he actually showed in serie A i dont really get the feeling that he s a sure bet.
Also while he s still young he really has to come through this season cause if he does not we ll have to buy a starter in his position that would probably bench him which would hinder his developpement largely. And as of right now i m already at a point where i would say Poli or Sanchez should get a shot as a starter in his place.
Which matches do you feel more, those with Juventus or Milan?
"With Milan, without doubt. And I don't like the Rossoneri fans either because they have a way of behaving, particularly when they win, that I don't appreciate."

Well, that’s why I said it remains to be seen. In his first season he did quite well imo, especially considering shit hit the fan in February and the whole team fell apart after that. He did score some decisive goals, and because he often came from the bench and was used out of position sometimes I am giving him the benefit of doubt for now.
I also think he has been one of our better „new“ attacking players last season. Keita and Politano have been awful/meh at best.
Only time will tell how good he can become but I am not pessimistic tbh. And should he still flop for some reason we can cope with it as he hasn’t been expensive and I am sure it won’t be that difficult to offload him.

He is young and all but imo, he still has a very very long way to go. First of all he needs to use his brain, his decision making is one of the worst, he has great technical skills but doesnt know when and how to use it. That being said, even the technical skills he has still got to be improved. It’s annoying watching those brainless flicks and bouncing control every damn game.

Not mentioning how he should improve is physical presence, his body isnt bad but I dont know he gets muscled off so easily. However, I appreciate his grinta and how he pressures the defenders, but that alone isn’t enough.

To me, for now he is below Politano and Sanchez in the pecking order.
