What if the deal to bring Modric includes sending Brozovic or Perisic to Real ??? :mindblow:

    100m€ lol

CR7 can be bought for 100m€ at the age of 33 because his marketability is through the roof. A bit different case with Modric no matter how good he is. Players usually decide where they play, so if Modric wants to move I think Real will sell, and for less than 100m€ for sure.

It will be in the 50-70m range, plus his salary. What would be the formula, if any, really?

Please focus on Vidal, then talk about Modric.

I can't imagine modric being 50 mil. He's worth it but his age and somewhat lack of star power (compared to Ronaldo at least). Serie A has to be a perfect league for him to extend gis career at too...

Him Vidal and 9golan is a bit of a dream midfield. Dare we start?

I don't think Modric is desperate to leave Madrid, no player (well most players with very very rare exceptions) will be desperate to leave them especially the regular starters.

Also what you said is sort of true, players decide where they play but only when the price is met. See Coutinho and Dembele deals, both skipped training and so much drama but still buying club had to pay the asking price.

Only card Modric can play is, he achieved lot for the club so as a good will he should be let go for cheaper price.

This sounds absurd, but we are purely thinking in very rational terms, What abt playing in the same team with his three co-nationals? . Brozo somehow has this kind of charming capability.

Yeah, lets just sign Vidal first. Modric signing would definitely be shocking for sure.

We are not getting Modric so please can we get the other thing done first and foremost. Deals like these are done early in the transfer window, not during sunset. Where other teams are rejecting our loan arrangements, what would the bank of Madrid say to such a proposal

Please get on with it and sign Vidal before the other sharks with real money come swooping in. Then you can entertain this fantasy deal.

we all know player`s will dictates club transfer policy nowadays. If the croats managed to convinced him, we are getting THE MASTERMIND ! Xavi, Iniesta, Pirlo no more, but there is Modrić. I would take him with my eyes closed or wide open, whatever!

Don`t think Modric is that type of player given his personality and we all know Real Madrid`s policy for above 30 players. He`ll be 33 this September but I would still take him for 3 years, no doubt he will dominate Serie A. Agree to make an exception for Luka and I see Perez letting go of Modrić for a reasonable amount [I mean less than 40m] for all the quality service he has provided to them. Kova will sure appreciate that we are making way for him to start.

Now this guy is one helluva Mr. X!

Everyone would like to have Modric in their team sure, but seeing as he's about to turn 33yo in September, would command high wages and the transfer fee would surely be around 50mil - I would pass on this deal. For a bit lower fee we would be able to get Rafinha, who is a different player but would make much more sense in long term. And we need to think about long term (in midfield) especially with "oldies" Nainngolan and Vidal about to sign too.

But if for some reason the fee would be loan or in the region of say 20mil, then fuck yes.
