What Skriniar's offering on the pitch (and will be offering for years) can't be valued at any price. It's like selling Zanetti to Real Madrid when he's young for big money. Sure it's a lot of money, but it's not worth losing a pillar like him. I'd sacrifice Perisic in 5 minutes since he's getting into the wrong side of his 30s anyway.

It can be valued. Shit if someone offered us say 200mil for him we would have to take it.
Anything north of 100mil starts to look ridiculous tbh - world's most expensive defender by some margin and aside from van dijk a long way ahead of any other defenders

My username has nothing to do with the player of liverpool fc, it is a reference to an Italian novel.

I know TS is Turin based shit newspaper, but not all what they right is bullshit. They were first to wright about Marotta joining Inter and most responded just like you.
We have to make 50 mln euro income and if it's not now then we will end up panic selling players in June for lower prices. I think it's likely that we will be selling in January, especially when we are out of the CL and some of our players being under target of money bag teams.

That is simply their speculation what Marotta does next. Based on the fact that they've been following him closely for the past how many years. He sells big player when it's the time to do that. I don't see it's time to sell Skriniar or let alone Brozovic now who's the ultimate backbone of our game. Perisic is a player we probably will sell if there is a offer good enough coming.

the problem with selling in Jan is thar we lose a potentially important player for half a season. If we sell him at the end of the season, we still sort out the FFP problems and dont have to play 19 matches without a key player.

Yeah I don't think no one is suggesting we should be or will be selling in January.

Maybe a dumb question or maybe it has been said earlier in this topic but: The money we made from the CL will be booked this year or next year? Because selling Barbosa and Joao Mario and getting the money from the CL might be the 50 million you are talking about.

Like Adnan said the value Skriniar is offering on the field can't be valued. If you sell Skriniar for 100 million for example every club will tell Inter that the players we want will be double the money knowing we got alot of money for Skriniar. So it's not like we can sell one topplayer and get 2/3 players back.

If we sell our backbone it will costs us months and maybe bad transfers te recover from that. For me only Icardi, Skriniar, Handa, de Vrij and Brozovic are unsellable. If we get a good offer for any other players then those 5 I would gladly accept it so we can finally get rid of the FFP restricitions and begin our next chapter in our journey to get Inter back were we belong. Getting in the CL and knowing that good players are willing to join Inter again was a very good step but in the upcoming summer it is time to take the next step so we can really challenge Juventus.

When we had 179mil in revenue we had to make 50mil before June. Fast forward and we have almost 400mil in revenue, and yet still have to make 50mil before June.
    It doesn't add up.

This was the argument against selling Candreva to Chelsea. I would hope we've learned from past mistakes. Given Ausilio and Spalletti likely have a say in who stays or leaves my hopes are likely to be crushed.

I believe our settlement agreement for FFP holds us to cash neutral transfer budgets or something perhaps?

Marotta just wants to break that record

Skriniar, Icardi and Perisic were bought for 66m, now we could get roughly 260m for them.

Then they'll think they fixed Inter's financial problems, which they would have, but only for Inter to fall into a new span of mediocre years of fighting for a CL spot after buying new young players who'd not perform as expected under the pressure of Inter environment due to their lack of experience only for them to leave in a couple of years to shine somewhere else, and only for us to keep crumbling and for our rivals to keep laughing at us for the stupid choices we keep making over and over and over again.

Yeah but we re supposed to be out of the agreement by the start of this summers window so we should not be bothered by that.
Also how are they gonna judge cash neutral? I mean in order to actually calculate the CF of 0 one would need to know the exact payment schedules of both incoming and outgoing transfers and i highly doubt any sports journo in italy has that data and even if he had it i d doubt he could do the calculations.
My point is all these transfers are multi mio deals and 90% of the have payment structures that spread payments over several years so in order to get to a 0 Cf you cannot just say ohh we sold player for x and we bought player for x so we re cash neutral. You might still be highly CF positive or negative even if you sold players for the exact same amount as you bought players.

Also if its just about that and we need 50 mio in revenue then the problem would not be that big. I mean we have Mario/GabiG/Candreva who provide absolutely nothing to this team and we should be able to get around 40/50 mio for those three.

Anyways to me it would be a very weird rule if we have to be cash neutral even after we are out of the agreement.
Which matches do you feel more, those with Juventus or Milan?

Cashflow is probably done at face value without consideration for payment schedules I gjess. Don't know how bonuses are handled. The agreement ends at the end of this footballing season, and it's this footballing season we need to raise cash to compensate for allegedly.

Also this is for FIFA - they'll have the official transfer records

Well a CF at face value without consideration of payment structure becomes pretty worthless dont you think? I mean we usually use it to match CF s and to check for short term liquidity, now if we neglect payment structure these two insights from a CF analysis become pretty much useless.

Also does the footballing season not end before the summer transfer market opens? In that case we would be forced to sell players of that value in this window.

I know that this is for FIFA and that FIFA or UEFA have the official documents my point was that there is no way a sports journo has all this info and there is no way a sports journo could make an accurate prediction on our CF without that information. So my point was i would take all these financial infos from gazzetta and co with a grain of salt.

Also reports of us deciding to already redeem Politano now strongly contradict the notion of us needing to get to a CF neutral point. I mean why would we make an operation now that would give us negative CF if we can postpone it till after the season ended?

Note: i m not sure on the details of calling an option early it might very well be that CF is not affected at all by such a measure, which i find unlikely but it is possible.

I guess my point is CF predictions on Transferes are extremely hard to do especially with very little public information so i would not believe every report out there.

This info floated up just recently and if we consider that we are living in the era of insiders it's more likely to be true.
Like Adnan said the value Skriniar is offering on the field can't be valued. If you ask me, I would never sell Skriniar and it's not only because of his player abilities but also his mentality and passion to play for us. Andersen or Mancini or whoever the fuck who can come as a replacement may have better defensive skills, but that love and connection between Skriniar and us fans - it's something else.
And I don't want to sell Brozo or even Perisic as I am quietly dreaming of Mourinho's return to Inter, in which case Perisic may serve us for another 4-5 years with new enthusiasm.
