Apart from Pirlo, nothing is similar between Godin's potential move to Inter and any other "typical Marotta" deals. A typical Marotta deal would be to go for someone under the radar. Godin rejected offers from Man Utd and Juventus just 4 months ago. Even Pirlo had no suitors back then and he joined Juventus when they were in a bit of a mess.
And yes, Godin is fucking world class. A top 3-5 center back over the course of the last 5 years.
