I am agree with giving politano the false 9, but I don't think that was a good idea if we are forcing our youngster to start their debut on this heavy pressure game.

We should really go for the Europa League. This is actually a very winnable competition and it would be a shame if we don't take this competition seriously.

Look, Europa League is no joke. It's not uncommon that the EL winners beat the CL winners in the UEFA Super Cup. Remember what Atletico Madrid did to us in 2011? Fucking hell, that Super Cup defeat completely RUINED our Treble legacy. Fuck you Benitez.

Eintracht havent lost a game in 29 matches where they have scored the 1st goal.Needless to say that 1st goal is crucial and also because we dont have a striker for this match. We seriously blew our chance to progress in the 1st half in Frankfurt.

Its a shame our free kicks and corners are so badly taken and corners in general cant even cross the 1st man at the nearr post because having some solid physical chaps like De Vrij and Skriniar should get us some advantage on set pieces but nope the delivery is always poor.

I dont see us progressing at all sadly. And that will put even more pressure on Spalletti going into the derby.Milan are calm and composed and Inter are shitting bricks. We arent Pazza Inter for nothing though.Fingers crossed we get a fluke early goal and somehow progress. It would be such a massive booster for us going into the derby but given all our injuries, suspensions, player bans and off pitch scandals i fear Adolf will be able to deploy him pincers on the wings with Jovic back and Guderian and Hoth will march on.

I hope we win but our team simply isn't ready to handle two tournaments at the same time. So Spalletti should only use players he won't need on Sunday because our priority should be to keep our cl spot. But Spalletti isn't even capable of prioritizing.

Even if we progress from this, we will almost certainly drop out at the face of any semi-decent clubs out there. There is a very little chance we can even make it to the final. So, I guess Serie A should take priority.

very worried, i really want to progress and personally would take a win in this one rather than milan derby. But the team we can put out does not look strong to say the least.

i think we have decent starter players + the players who will not play will have a pause for the derby, we can't play the same players in 4 days.

The real problem is probably how to field this 11 players and that we have only primavera players in the bench. It's a complicated situation but i still have some hope that we can make it. The second half of Spal shows that you don't need the best line up to win games. Even if Frankfurt is not Spal, i don't fear them. We will see how they will stand the San Siro pressure.

INJURY UPDATE: MIRANDA AND BROZOVIC AFTER INTER VS. SPAL
Miranda underwent an operation earlier on today, while the Croatian's condition is not serious

MILAN – This morning, Joao Miranda underwent a surgical operation after he suffered a fracture in his nasal bones during Inter vs. SPAL on Sunday. The surgery was completed at the Istituto Clinico Humanitas in Rozzano without any problems.

Marcelo Brozovic, who was substituted in the 42nd minute in Sunday’s league match, underwent an MRI scan due to a muscle complaint in his right thigh. Nothing serious was revealed. Both players’ conditions will be assessed on a day-to-day basis.

If Brozovic isn't fit we'll have to play Mancini football: six defenders and four attackers, no midfielders.

in this particular case, i'd rather play mazzarri's football: 9 defenders and 1 forward. we need one goal after all and at least our defenders are reliable.

Remember there's the international break plenty of time to recover players so I think we should try our best.
