The real shame is that we are worse than last year, with all the injuries...

De Vrij instead of Miranda. Very small upgrade as Miranda is good too.
d'Ambrosio instead of Cancelo => downgrade
Asamoah instead of LB d'Ambrosio => upgrade
Politano instead of Candreva => upgrade
Martinez instead of Icardi => downgrade
Nainggolan instead of Rafinha => downgrade...

Keita would have been an upgrade but is injuried. Vrsajlko would have been good but is injuried...

So we made some good buys on the paper but are actually worse than last year, what a shame.

I think this game might be one of the most exciting ones because if Perisic, Icardi and Radja will be unavailable, then Spalletti will finally have to play the youngstes. I assume he would just love to play Candreva - Keita - Politano up front but each of them is probably not fit to play 90 mins (because of age; because of injury; by default).

Our bench will also be pretty weird, probably just Ranocchia and Miranda will be there and that's pretty much it.

It's going to be the youth or no subs. Starting some of them might be a good decision as a confidence boost, I'd personally much rather prefer Keita-Colidio-Politano then any combination with Candreva...

I really hope Spalletti will not do anything stupid.

Lautaro and Asamoah are suspended for this match. Dalbert, Gags, Radja, Mario, Vrsaljko not available. Keita, Icardi probably neither.

Damn our Europe squad is ridiculous, and somebody still criticize Spallo about lack of gameplay Have a more fair expectation, and leave this competition alone ffs. We are handicapped by that stupid rule and can do nothing better.

This goes back to what I was saying though: Can you really see this front-three all play 90 mins? Spalletti was redundant to use all three changes even in previous guys so I'm really worried what he's going to do now. Our substitues are really only Ranocchia and Miranda so wouldn't be surprised if opts to go for back-three (horrible idea IMO) and then just puts Ranocchia as a libero...

If he does it, I will be extremely pissed. It's one thing if you don't give changes to teanagers when you have other options, but if you do this kind of shit, It's starts to be disrespectful.

At least we'll get to find who the new Drogba is in the next round and maybe we sign him this time?

Scorers are more likely to be Colidio, de Vrij, Vecino and D'Ambrosio though

I can see a scenario in which it's Rennes-Inter, Niang scores and we are out of the competition.
It would be a fucking disgrace and most of all a sad sign of the times, in comparison.

[Well, at least we won't have regrets for not bringing him (back) to Milan, on the other side of Naviglio]

Will Inter risk it ahead of the derby?

I hope we take this game serious ... and that we proceed and get a team like Prague or Zagreb in the quaters.

Pretty sure he won't. And I probably wouldn't either. Winning the Europa League is a long shot anyway and champions League is the priority.
My username has nothing to do with the player of liverpool fc, it is a reference to an Italian novel.

I think we’ll see Ranocchia as striker before any of the youth team.
