For the first time in a long time I actually feel nervous going into a derby. Milan have really turned their form around and Piatek is beasting right now. I’d honestly be happy with a draw considering we don’t have a fully fit squad.

My only worry is missing Milan-killer Icardi. Otherwise, I'm not worried because truth is, prior to the first meeting, Milan came off of I think 3 straight victories and higuain and suso in great form.

Then they played us and we totally dominated them. They looked nothing like what they 'appeared' to be vs other opponents.

Yes, it took a last minute VECINO cross and icardi header to win, but we demolished them. They couldn't do shit. Couldn't handle our press. And that's with grandpa valero coming on for injured 9g fairly early on.

When Piatek played against us with Genoa I barely noticed him but they had just changed their manager.

Piatek came on in the second half when the score was already 3-0. He didn't do much but the game was practically over. We ended up winning 5-0.

We were going into this derby in dreadful form a year ago, and then Astori died and it got postponed by a month, by which point we had mildly begun to recover a little bit.

I don't want to root for another Italian player to die for this game to get postponed, so is there any other way it can happen?

Icardi has turned it around against Milan last 2 years or so but I wouldn't really call him a Milan killer. He had a great hat trick against them and a winner last time around but some of his worst games for Inter were against Milan. In fact I think for the longest time Milan (and Torino) were the only Italian teams he never scored against - he must have gone 5/6 of his first Milan derbies without scoring including missing a crucial penalty. He was also terrible last season in the crucial 0-0 draw where he missed 2 empty nets.

He's more of a Sampdoria/Fiorentina killer. I'd say he's just ok against Milan, having some excellent games but some of his worst big games as well. Better than Napoli though, who it seems like he can almost never score against.

Not sounding like a smart plan now, is it? My suggestion for Sunday - tell your Milan friends to fuck off, lock the door, curl up on the floor and switch on the game. Then start weeping.

no... too small, at least for me
My username has nothing to do with the player of liverpool fc, it is a reference to an Italian novel.

There are only 2 comments in red:

    - There is a circle around Valero with the comment "Grandpa can't run beyond this circle"

    - The comment next to Vecino says "Just ignore this tool who runs around aimlessly"

Looks like Gattuso has done proper research
