Real Madrid has already spend 300M and I am pretty sure they won't sell players for this amount. Let's see what happens to them. I'd say nothing.

They don't have to sell at the same amount.

They can sell James (~40), Kovacic(for us it's just a paid loan, others could spend ~30), Asensio (~50), Bale (~70), Marcelo (15-30), Vazquez (~30, they wanted 40 from us)... That would be more than enough for FFP as most are already amortized.

I'm guessing they could sel most of these guys to some PL clubs at those prices.

If they strike out by mid August, we could pounce for a decent deal.

I think Real can easily buy shitloads of expensive players because they haven't bought that much for years. Last three years net spend for transfer fees is PLUS 66 million euros. They make shitloads of revenue so one big splash summer isn't going to put them in jeopardy in terms of FFP. Of course salaries are big in Real but now as CR7 is gone, Ramos is the biggest one with 12m€ net. Nothing extraordinary given their revenue streams.

Real Madrid don't have FFP problems. They are THE richest club in the world who have been very prudent on transfers till now. In fact in the last 3 years they have not only made money from transfers, but as a club have made a pre tax profit of €113m and an EBITDA of €448m! I don't know what their 3 year FFP profit looks like, but I wouldn't be surprised if they could spend 1 billion on transfers this summer and still not have FFP problems.

€300m is chicken feed for them. They can probably pay that from the cash reserve in their bank, thats how much money they have been making recently.

fact you think Asensio is leaving and will be that cheap for 50 million or that anyone is paying 70 for Bale

Id take Asenio + James for Icardi. They need a #9

There's a nonzero possibility that Asensio is individually sold for more than Icardi.

Ferland Mendy moves to Madrid for 48 million. That is the price for relatively unheard 24 years old full back from Ligue 1. It gives us perspective how much decent fullback costs now. Since we still have a gaping hole at wingback position, we must be ready to splash quite big sum of money for our primary wingback.

Is this the FFP thread or Real Madrid thread?

    Traore set for Cagliari?

Cagliari are reportedly set to beat Sassuolo to Empoli midfielder Hamed Traore once he joins Juventus.

Traore appeared to be on his way to Sassuolo via Juve, but Sky Sport Italia claims he will instead replace Nicolo Barella at Cagliari.

The Bianconeri are closing in on an €15m deal for the Ivorian, although he may never play for the club.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough campaign for Empoli, despite their relegation, scoring twice in 33 appearances.

Also they will sell Isco for 70-80 to City or other English dumb club.
Hopefully we will get a couple of Madrid rejects (no Bale tho, please).

Transfermarkt reckon Pinamonti is worth about 7mil. I think that's probably fair.

    Gabigol is maybe 15mil tops.

Radu, sure, 8-14mil ssomewhere in that region.

Dimarco is like 7mil tops. He's not been a starter much this season at all.

I dont think we have the appetite to sell Bastoni or Radu so that already eliminates the bulk of that. Gabigol would be basically at 0 capital gain or loss, most likely, so that doesnt help jack either really
Vanheusden is being sold for €18-20m. You still think 100m for those 7 players is generous pricing?

Prices are going crazy these days, they have grown 2-3 times in the last 4 years. If anything, my estimate of "upto €100m" is starting to look like a conservative estimate already. I am revising my estimate upwards to 100-120m for these 7:

    - Pinamonti: 15-20m
    - Bastoni: 15-20m
    - Gabigol: 15-20m
    - Radu : 15-20m
    - Vanheusden: 18-20m
    - Dimarco: 10-12m
    - Karamoh: 10-15m

After all, a few mistakes like Zaniolo notwithstanding, Inter have become quite the experts in selling young players.

Like Juve can talk with their 20m for Mandragora, 12m for Favilli, 20m for Audero, etc. Hypocritical fuckers.

20m for Mandragora is a slap in the face to FFP. There's something about that specific deal that pisses me off to no end.

Asensio cannot leave for only 50mil since his contract states clubs can start negotiating for him at 85. Just a rumour, but with Real, I wouldn't be surprised.

Real Madrid notoriously have inflated release clauses in their players contracts. Ronaldo's was one billion Euro and they let him leave for 1/10th the price. Special circumstance, I know, but you get the idea.

All contracts in Spain have a release clause set. Of course they can be sold for whatever sum the seller and buyer agrees.

Wingback are relatively cheaper than LBs are they don't have to be as good defensively. Theo would be a decent investment in LWB role. Also Reguilón is worth a look. He kept Marcelo benched until Zidane returned.
