Just as baseless as some of your statements. Mourinho will get a job in the summer and we'll see,we'll see. Same with Sanchez, if we are gonna land him here. But Sanchez will probably be happy to get a huge paycheck and not worry about anything in MU.
Is shitting on any moment of decency part of your job description?

    At Inter. With Inter.
    To Europa League.

Look Jose, I got rid of Mkhitaryan and wasted all our transfer budget at the same time!". This was supposed to be a big gift + bonus to Mourinho for failing to sign Perisic in the summer or something. Mourinho didn't really have an idea of how to use him and it took a while to adjust him in the lineup. And I doubt Alexis really wanted to join Manchester United, but that kind of money was too hard to refuse.

It was a power move by Man Utd, basically telling Man City that they were also present and could buy the best players in the Premier League as well if they wanted to, even from their hands. Despite the fact that City didn't really make a move for Alexis and were waiting for him to become a free agent. And Man Utd under Woodward loves trying to get the best players of rivals and the most hyped players on the island. They hit the road with City and Liverpool players because City doesn't sell and Liverpool doesn't sell to Man Utd. They got Van Persie, Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku (hype), Wilfred Zaha (hype), Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata with this policy and at some point tried to make it international but without much success (Pogba & Martial being the only good examples).

Mourinho wanted Sanchez. And Lukaku and Pogba. Let's not make Woodward guilty for everything (of course he is a catastrophe).

I don’t know what to think about that, Sanchez looks pretty much done but we are starving for quality. Could go both ways.
I trust Marotta. If you look at Juventus under him there were no big fuck-ups. I mean, I don't see any J.Mario or Gabigol. He made good transfers.
This is the reason I don't believe every shit with 50-60m for Rakitic or something similar.

Mourinho wanted Perisic specifically. Lukaku was one of the names he had in mind for the striker position assuming Perisic was signed because that's how he intended to build the team. Woodward agreed to proceed with the Lukaku transfer but rejected to increase the bid for Perisic because his 'name value' wasn't great enough for the club and his age was considered an obstacle.

Mourinho liked Sanchez and the idea of the transfer as it'd be a jab at Guardiola, but he didn't really want the player as he's not the winger he had in mind to provide help to Lukaku. He probably smirked when they signed him, but it wasn't really his ideal scenario. He wanted Perisic and he's been very vocal about this. He also wanted Perisic last season despite having Sanchez and our asking price was higher this time (70m iirc) which they didn't meet it obviously. Instead, they got him Fred because the scouting report was off the charts... a player who Mourinho had benched for three times as long as he saw the pitch but apparently was also "his request" since whatever transfer is made apparently is sanctioned by the manager...

As for Pogba, I'm pretty sure Mourinho appreciated the talent and thought he could tame him. No one would pass on Pogba at that time but it felt more like the club was making a statement that they can sign one of the best players in the world despite just playing in the Europa League than a Mourinho demand. When Mourinho arrived at Man Utd his demands were essentially a center back that could also play from the back, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and an attacking midfielder since he wasn't very fond of Juan Mata. Man Utd ended up signing Mkhitaryan and Bailly. A player that he didn't really appreciate as things showed (he had less than 15 starts iirc) and a center back that couldn't play from the back. And Pogba of course which as I said no one in their right mind would say no to at that time.

It's not really just Woodward's fault and it's unfair to blame him entirely, but the system the Glazers have in place and Woodward is just the execution guy.

Either way, for those claiming that Mourinho is finished after results show that he's been the most successful Man Utd since Ferguson and the fact that the management pretty much did whatever the fuck they wanted with transfer policy most of the times instead of listening to the coach, well I cannot say much. They are free to be deluded.

I'd take both Mourinho and Sanchez at Inter in a flash.

    2. Napoli preparing Allan replacement: Boca: 'Napoli best Almendra bid'

Boca Juniors confirm “several clubs are interested in Agustin Almendra, but Napoli made the most concrete proposal. He’ll probably leave.”

The 19-year-old central midfielder has been on Napoli’s radar for over a year and negotiations seem to be progressing well.

“We have several clubs interested in Almendra, but Napoli made the most concrete proposal we’ve received so far,” Boca Juniors President Daniel Angelici told Radio La Red.

“We are analysing the offers, but it’s very likely he’ll probably leave.”

It is reported to be a deal worth in the region of €25m.

Almendra has played 19 competitive games for Boca this season, contributing one goal and one assist.

He also has five caps for Argentina at Under-20 level.

Barcelona, Inter and Valencia had also been linked with a swoop for Almendra in January.
    3. Report: Milan in Sensi talks
Milan are reportedly locked in talks to sign Sassuolo and Italy midfielder Stefano Sensi.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport’s Nicolo Schira, contacts are ongoing between Milan director Paolo Maldini and Sensi’s agent Beppe Riso.

It is understood the Rossoneri have proposed a five-year contract for the Cesena youth product, worth €1.5m a season.

However, Schira warns Sassuolo will not budge on their €25m valuation of the 23-year-old.

Sensi has enjoyed a breakout season with the Neroverdi, earning his first Italy caps in the process.

He could replace Lucas Biglia, another deep-lying midfielder who has been linked with an exit from San Siro this summer.
// seems that Leonardo and Maldini can spot a footballer, unlike Ausilio...

Sensi is already an excellent playmaker and will only continue to improve: always knows what to do with the ball before it reaches him and never saw him lose possession. Wish we could have a player like him! Would much rather spend €25m on him than €40m on fuckin` Rakitic... Plus, we already have Gagliardini!

We need playmakers that are not moving here just for their last paycheck! Not sure if Gundogan will be available this summer, so take Barella and another gifted italian [Sensi/Tonali/Pellegrini].

Soo, how much money do you guys think we'll have at our disposal the coming summer mercato?

    -

My guess for the outgoing list are as follow, take everything below with a pinch of salt:

    60-70M Icardi
    30M Perisic
    20M J. Mario
    15M Gabigol
    3-5M Candreva
    2-3M Miranda
    LT Cedric
    LT Keita

This makes about 130M. Say Suning will add another 150-200M on top of that. Keep in mind we spent like 100M on average last two seasons, the net spend was waaay less of course. If we aren't as "rich" as we hope we are then we'll probably have something like 250M in total, with sales.

    After the sales we need:
1 great striker, might be Dzeko for about 10M
2-3 great midfielders, might be Barella and Gundogan, say 50M each - 100M, plus someone like Sarabia for 20M, 120M total
2 fullbacks - god, I don't want to know how much this will cost, we might just as well stick with Asa and DDA for now and get guys like Biraghi on the cheap, say 40M both.
2 great wingers - Say something like 70+30-40M for both, hopefully someone like Chiesa/Pepe and some promising kid like Bergwijn.

This makes a total of 280. So it's kinda doable but of course this is in the realm of fantasy football.

    Dzeko/Lautaro
    Bergwijn/X- Sarabia/Nainggolan - Chiesa/Politano
    Gundogan/Brozovic - Nainggolan/Barella/Vecino
    Asamoah/Biraghi - Skriniar/Rano - Godin/SDV - DDA/X
    Handanovic

Mind you the defense wasn't our problem at all this season and it'll be much better protected by a better midfield and a more potent attack, so spending a lot of money on it wouldn't be my priority at all. Yeah, this includes new fullbacks. Aaand I'm noticing almost everyone except for the defenders would be new Still I think it's a decent fresh team.

I'd also stick with Spalletti. I know, I know, but spending, I don't know, something like 30M for his golden handshake means we're down one man from this team. I still think he can do well next year with a better squad, maybe 2nd. Then when it's the time for a proper attack at the Scudetto we can hire someone new and fill in the gaps from next year's team. A fullback or two, maybe another striker/winger and better/more subs.

We haven't made any big steps forward having our own stadium and having a serie A contender level team. I doubt Suning will invest in anything but a new coach, everything else will come by selling our players.

Interesting analysis, though I think we should model 3-4-3, 3-5-2 or at most 4-3-3 as the formation.

I think it would be fantastic if Suning provided that much war chest in addition to sales but I fear it won't be the case. We need to remember we need to make 40m€ extra before this financial year ends in June so some of the sales will cover that 40m€.

Hm, we currently have loaned out:

    Alessandro Bastoni
    Parma - MV about 15M

    Gabi freaking goal
MV probably about 15M as well

    Yann Karamoh
at Bordeaux, MV probably in the real of 15M also, maybe even 20M

Zinho Vandhausen, IIRC voted the best youngster in the Belgian league
at Standard Liege, i'd also put his MV at around 15M

We also have dudes like Pinamonti, Radu, Emmers, Gravillon and Dimaro. Most likely most of them could potentially fetch about 7M on average in today's market. Maybe a bit more with clever accounting. Radu, we have to buy-back before we sell and he's already at 12M...

We can easily sell some of them to cover the 40M needed for SA.

Bastoni and Zinho - are they both injured? Might be a bad idea to sell them now.

Zinho is injured, I think recently and badly. Bastoni is alright tho, played the full 90' yesterday in the game against Bologna.

At least Bastoni and Vanheusden should be nurtured more before selling them. And accounting-wise we paid fucking 30m€ for Bastoni so we are not selling him now.

Radu should be sold only with a buyback-clause, we can't depend on one promising keeper who hasn't played a single Serie A game yet. Pinamonti is someone I feel we should sell but for a big price, just like Juventus do with their players when they sell inside Italy.

Vanheusden wasn't voted best youngster. But he was runner up or so I believe. Doesn't matter he's injured for a long time again in his short career.

Inter have offered a 1 year loan deal for Alexis Sanchez (with option to buy) where Man Utd will still pay half of his wages.

Thats a clever way of doing it.

We need to have in account those 40m on 30June for SA/FFP and next day we can spend these 40m freely. The only impediment is the schedule. Is not like we need to give someone those 40m.
Bastoni is the best example of how we and other manipulate the FFP: we sold also 2 kids for 15m or more to Atalanta and then "bought" Bastoni for 30m. Probably we will never hear from these kids again.

Imagine Icardi still underperforming and we get Sanchez as well. Maybe Radja misses half a season again.

If I have to stick to red flags, I'd rather only have Radja here.

The fact that Sanchez earns like €29m in wages is an abomination against humanity.

I'm fairly certain the 25 or something millions of pounds means his gross salary. => net is something like 17m€.

Anyway, 25% reduction to that and then United pays half of that => ~6,25m€

Guess one-year loan wouldn't be bad if the option to buy is really cheap. These kind of rumors suggest we indeed will have a limited transfer budget (surprise), not unlimited. It's just funny if Suning is willing to splash 80-100m€ for coach change since I feel these costs (coach and players) goes to same place in Inter's budget and books and what not.

They are not handing out 80m on the coach change, they are committing it. Over 3-4 years.
