With Sanchez out he is still the 4th option, so I'm not expecting him to play much.

One or two games, even as a sub for inter 1st team, is big for 17 year old.

    He should be happy

He should be 3rd choice. Anyone should be 3rd choice, above Politano.

I feel it would be a bit unfair towards him if, after asking to have him pulled from the under 17 team for the world cup, he didn't get significant playing time in the next 4-5 matches.

I mean, at least an hour in the next 3 matches. Otherwise, why deny him that opportunity to play the under 17 world cup? It is within our right, but still, I wouldn't like it too much.
"As usual in Italy some decisions are made without sense and logic. The dark side of the football that we tried to clean up returns to light".

    Fabio Liverani, Lecce coach.

My username has nothing to do with the player of liverpool fc, it is a reference to an Italian novel.

He got his first chance vs Frankfurt and he barely cast a shadow in 30 mins. What keeps me optimistic that he is better than the scraps Uni mentioned, was that in pre-season he showed confidence, always wanted to be involved, wasnt shy to play with flair, and most importantly, he didnt let the moment shake him. He did not look out of place in any match.

Bear in my though that the frankfurt game was probably the single most shambolic disorganised game played under Spalletti. I'm a season ticket holder, I've pretty much seen them all under him and If I had to pick one, I would pick that one.

It was the only game when I've seen people not shouting at the team, but laughing sarcastically when they made a mistake. That says a lot about the performance.

Anyway, the bottom line is that I don't think we should judge him based on that one. We can hope for him to perform, but it would be unreasonable to do so if all the senior players are not there to help him out. In my opinion, he certainly didn't have the support on that night.

Look at that joy on his face. A true Interista. When he scores his first goal, he's gonna bring down the Meazza.

Kid missed out on the under 17 World Cup because of the squad call up, so it was nice to see him be part of the winning team and celebrations. Would have been even better if he took and scored the penalty to become one of the youngest CL scorers.

Hope we don’t blow a huge lead again and Conte gives him minutes during the league. Still pissed he didn’t play this weekend when we went up 3 goals

Truly changed the game with his substitution appearance, which is incredible for a 17 year old. Hope he gets more cameos instead of Politano as the season progresses.

A shame about the slip up after Lautaro missed his penalty... Imagine him scoring there.
