Conte knows he is class... For a 17 y old he is exceptional and he isn't brain dead like Balotelli or Icardi

We gonna be just fine in attack this way

Politano will be our 4th choice in attack. If Esposito stays at Inter, he will probably be our 5th choice.

The fans there are massively unhappy with their window as it is. Also, they dont need the commercial cover as badly as we do. It's like 25 or 30% of our revenue on the line with CL football - what is it for United? 15%? They can spend a huge amount every summer without worrying about CL - we cant.

Ausilio signed this kid back in 2013 when he was just 11 years old. School season had to end for him to come, so he officially joined in 2014.

Calm your tits, it was a friendly with what, a Serie D team? That`s probably weaker than playing against our Primavera... He seems to make the proper decisions and playing for the team. I read that our club considers him to be the biggest talent coming from Primavera since Balotelli.

Because they are the richest club in the world when it comes to revenues? They don`t depend on UCL football, while their fanbase seem to be unhappy. Esposito deserves more than just warming the bench here, I would loan him to Serie B team where he could play regularly. Up to Conte, I guess.

I remember asking Bluenine once about when was the last time we loaned a talented player and brought him back to be a starter when there were rumors about Karamoah's loan to Bordeau. Look how it ended. So loaning talented players is a very bad idea especially at Inter.

He is already forcing the issue imo. He hasnt looked out of place in the pre-season even though he barely cast a shadow a few months earlier when he debuted vs Frankfurt. I think the days of tossing away promising youth players for quick-fix veterans is over.

Conte blinda Esposito, lo vuole come quarto attaccante

Conte wants Esposito as 4th striker. Move thread to PLAYERS.

Well I'd normally be hesitant about forecasting the second coming, but the best usually find a way through the hype anyway. He's been hugely impressive since training with the first team and as another poster pointed out-- hasn't looked out of place at all.
Conte seems quite taken with him so I wouldn't be too surprised to see his name on the call up sheet throughout the season. I don't think we can count on him; that just isn't fair, so we'll need to carry at least 3 strong forwards with more experience playing at the senior level.
However, if Esposito can find his way onto the pitch in a few situations this season and put up something like 5ish goals while training with the big boys, I don't see that as anything but a massive success for the kid.

Having watched him in pre season
I like what I see the kid has heart , and a good head on his shoulders..

Would be great to develop him into a starter, but don't expect anything this season

He should be included in the CL list. Doesn't he meet the home grown criteria along with Dimarco and Pirola?

Awesome news! Feels like forever since we had a promising youth player who actually had a chance to play. Who was the last one? Balotelli?

If Dzeko doesn't arrive before then, then it makes sense. We'll probably see Lukaku-Esposito for 60, then Lautaro in for Romelu for the last 30 minutes.

He had a good pre-season, and Lecce is one of those games where he might have seen game time anyway.

What a confidence boost would that be for the guy...

Now this is great, integrating a youngster and developing him.. hope he develops into a great player so we don't even have to think about getting another striker!

Why wouldn't he? Just given him the minutes Nainnggolan got and I have no doubt he will score at least 10 goals this season. Actually, my main goal this season is to watch these kids (Esposito, Sensi, Barella, Pirola, etc) play and develop and not winning a trophy. Conte can and should do this.
