This is always my example of the type of goal Lukaku is capable of scoring that Icardi couldn't dream of:

I just don't know if Lukaku is even capable of doing this anymore. He's been a different player at Man U than he was at Everton.

He could never ever, clearly. Nutmegs are too technical for this kid Icardi. Especially nutmegs where u basically pass the ball to the keeper.

To be honest my biggest issue with Lukaku is his price and the fact that he disappointed on the big stage.
Everton lukaku was a beast, but manu lukaku just never looked the same and i for one am afraid that it s a pressure thing.

Another thing that bothers me is that my manu friend is laughing at the fact that we re after lukaku and he wants to get rid of him pretty bad which usually is not a good sign.
Which matches do you feel more, those with Juventus or Milan?
"With Milan, without doubt. And I don't like the Rossoneri fans either because they have a way of behaving, particularly when they win, that I don't appreciate."

I don't know if it's connected with our interest for Lukaku but, accorrding to reports from France, Man Utd have made a 45m offer for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele.

45m? Why don't we skip 70m Lukaku then and go for Dembele

Lukaku's valuation is just fucking crazy. If Perisic swap can be arranged it might make sense to do this deal but still we can't pay too much. If there are any interest in Perisic on the market we should try that route first.

This sounds quite silly, but I guess it's like having a growth spurt and suddenly finding yourself bonking on door frames that you never used to because you haven't acclimatized to your new height.
I read exactly the same for Radja i.e. he is strong, not fat but muscle mass etc. But I didnt like that shape at all. This is football, not wrestling and I dont see any top players (lets say, >70m price range) build and take advantage of that type of body. So lets prefer Lukaku either cut his size down, or we stay away from him.

Thin Lukaku at Everton was a beast. Big Lukaku is significantly worse. Thinner Radja was a beast and much better than current Radja too (the reason why he reduced 4kg a couple of months ago).

Nah let’s be fair, Radja was just fat . I agree, thinner Lukaku is a better Lukaku, but I don’t want to spend any money on the premise that he’s going to get fitter. If we’re spending 50m+, just at least get someone who looks like a footballer.

Lukaku has the first touch of an elephant kicking a beach ball.

At a smaller club where you have more space in counter attacks he can get away with that to some extent, but when you play for a big club and there is no space, that quickly becomes a big problem. Here are some more examples for the few people who think Icardi is bad:

He might do a bit better at Inter than he did at United due to his physicality, but if Lukaku and Kean can be bought at the same price, I would much rather get that rookie Kean. At least with Kean he has talent and can become a lethal striker. If Conte is thinking that Lukaku can give him what Diego Costa did at Chelsea, he will be disappointed coz Lukaku neither has that level of skill nor that level of nastiness.

If that was a distress sale by Man Utd for 25-30m, I could get on board. 75m?? They can fuck off.

I can easily see us spending more on this guy than we will get for Icardi.

    Don't have one.

I don't have a problem with lukaku at all, even the price that is mentioned is kinda understandable given the hype he has in europe playing for belgium and all the clubs, with great goal scoring records, something icardi doesn't have, that sort of variety of leagues he scored in, plus I think he is more complete striker than icardi even with his awful first touch. So if he is the choice to replace icardi so be it, I don't think we have any other realistic options tbh.

    Oh god..

Let's hope his salary demands put us off. Not only is his valuation ridiculous but so are his wages for what he offers.

I refuse to believe we will sell Icardi and spend more on this guy.

I don't care what is ManU's evaluation of Lukaku. He is not a part of Ole's future plans and obviously will get sold. For now he is linked only with Inter and the player's expressed his desire to play in Italy. This is huge leverage for Marotta and Aussilio and if they pay anything over 50-55m for him will be huge foolishness.

I don't see where is the problem that Lukaku is best suited for counter attacking football? As far as i know that is exactly the type of Conte's playing style.

Give Icardi all those space and he would score 10 times more goals like that. Let’s see what Lukaku can do against SPALs and Frosinones.

The price is solely because he played in the EPL.
