Not only in Champions League, they played all types of 3 back systems throughout the entire season. 3-5-2, 3-4-1-2, 3-4-2-1.

He played in a variety of spots too. Not sure how well he did in each, but he was part of the 3 CM's in a 3-5-2. Played more of a trequartista role in the 3-4-1-2 and even played in a CM partnership when they played 3-4-2-1.

Sky Sports Uk - Manchester United have told Ausilio that the amount they paid to Everton for Lukaku (79 million pounds, or 88 million euros) will not be enough. If Inter want Lukaku he has to exceed that figure

    If true...

This justifies the ridiculous money demanded for Lukaku?

Lol yeah okay ManU. He performed worse and he's older than he was, but somehow his value has increased!

We should take a page off their negotiation book when dealing with the sale of Icardi.
We are not now that strength which in old days
    Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Not really a page, just a note saying: "we have enough money, so fuck off".

Conte explicitly asked for Lukaku... Inter promised him certain things...

I can see us going crazy to keep promises to our new 12mil a year coach

    Now I go hide

85 million is indeed getting a bit ridiculous.. I fail to see how ManUtd expect to make a profit from selling Lukaku. I'm all for getting him if it's for 70 million, because that's a fair valuation according to me.

If Man Utd wants to squeeze us, let's just search for an alternative (fail to see which honestly).

We can always offer Icardi a contract extension for the same wage for 3 years. If he's serious of wanting to stay at Inter he probably wouldn't have a problem signing it?

Bench him for 2 years or sell him for 60 million to whatever club, except Juve. Hell, let's start a fund raiser among Inter fans to raise the worth of Icardi just to see him rot on the bench.

My thoughts exactly. This whole situation started from us not being ready to give Icardi the contract extension he deserves.

Rather than offering Lukaku +8 million per year, if we would've offered Icardi 8 million per year we wouldn't be in this situation now.

I hope the news that came out today about him looking for a new agent is true.

Come on man, he has asked for a new contract 4-5 times since signing in 2013. We give him 8 and he will want 10 by the end of the season.

Uh no, you misunderstood me. I would offer Icardi a contract of 3 year on the wage he is on right now. No increase. If he signs that's a first sign he really wants to stay.
