Yes, I am past 30 and fast declining.

Every year Inter has a tradition to sign an old fart from roma.

Pereira, Dodo, Ansaldi. Not as much but not cheap either.

and don't forget Dalberts in other positions as well.

Dodo was a 2 year loan and then purchased under 10mil I think.

Ansaldi was never really hyped as next Maicon either as far as I remember.

Pereira probably fits that category, but price wise it’s not the same class.

You kind of get what you paid for really, for these players at least.

Anyway, the point is that we have tried exactly once to gamble on a hyped future prospect, maybe twice if we count Pereira. Don’t make it sound like repeated failures, it’s a somewhat twisted supporting evidence for the argument.

Alex Telles was the only player I liked.

Pereira. Signed in 2012. paid in full. 2 years of trial. Fail.
Dodo. signed in 2014. paid loan + obligation. 2 years of trial. Fail.
Dalbert. signed in 2017. paid in full. 2 years of trial. Fail.

Yes Pereira and Dodo were cheaper but it was also done few years back when price wasn't as high.
Were they done one after another? yes.
    Were they all failures? yes.

I agree that you kind of get what you paid which was actually my first point. why do inter need to spend these money when there are more important positions to fill like the midfielders? Taking away ~20 millions for "future" LB gamble means 20 millions less for other areas.

FYI, he didn't just mention Dalbert but also Vrsaljko and Cedric. Hence, Ansaldi fits the criteria. Spent the money and failed.

It is a somewhat twisted argument when you actually take a piece of the entire context and make an argument of it.

There was also Montoya. He was actually decent, definitely not as shit as the dalberts and pereiras.

Ehhh... wouldn't exactly say Vrsaljko and Cedric were terrible moves. Vrsaljko had some fitness issues at first but I think he would've done well if only he didn't get injured. Cedric is also better at crossing than anyone on our squad but Spalletti didn't give him many minutes.

Dodo and Dalbert are catastrophic clusterfucks of cosmic proportions compared to them. Even worse, I still have some remnants of hope that a good manager could unlock Dalbert's potential, even if I deep down know he can't be helped.

Why are we going for him? He's aging, got at most 1.5 seasons at the top level, and not really the hard worker he used to be. Would prefer a younger option who can challenge for the starting spot but also wouldn't mind being benched. Dzeko's salary would be too much as well.

For some reason my brain convinced me that Montoya's name is Malaguena. I wasn't even close

So I spoke to a friend of mine, Bosnian, he said Dzeko is the Bosnian version of Icardi! Huge ego and arrogant prick. Also something about his wife too.
Have no idea if true, maybe some of the Bosnians here care to explain?

I hope it's just a trick by Marotta to make Icardi understand he is not needed.

Dzeko is also a big friend of Perisic. So imagine if Perisic starts bitching during the season, I am sure Dzeko's form would suddenly drop. I don't know if it's just me, but I don't really want anymore Balkans on this team.

He married a girl who had a kid with another man before she met dzeko, so he is pussy whipped to some extent , but he isn't problematic or just plain stupid like icardi, and his wife is okayish from what I saw. And those rumours about him being arrogant prick or another version of icardi is just bullshit and not true in any form. His professionalism is on really high level throughout his career.

He seems like a good guy from everything I heard of him.Just not sure he is the right choice for Inter.5M per year salary from last report, that's beyond ridiculous. Not sure he is just a backup with this kind of salary...

    Or...

Imagine if Dzeko being here makes Perisic super duper happy and starts scoring for fun and making assists with his eyes closed. He wins the Scudetto for us topping Ronaldo and gets us to CL final which he scores the only goal for us to beat Juventus for a second triplete, and then he wins Ballon d’Or and every possible award he can win.
