Agree that De Paul probably doesn't have a great fit at Conte's football. Maybe if he's pure rotation option for Sensi's current role. But loan deal would be ideal, to test how he pans out under Conte. If he pans out, why not? We should aim for level where we have 25-30m€ bench players.

Good thing is he's not a midget (this is no offense to short persons, I'm a short person myself ) and of course the basic abilities for playing the ball in his feet unlike Vecino and Gags.

We have 25-30m bench players in Gagsy, Vecino and Politano. We should aim for better players who are actually worth that value. Not so sure about De Paul, but I can agree I'd rather see him coming on instead of our normal shit.

Yeah you are right But the thing is the roling and the playing style of the players. I feel Vecino is a good role player for Inter while Gagliardini is a Roma/Lazio-level player (maybe even starter for them). Now these two are first guys on the pitch when one of our starters go out. Politano is also 25-30m€ player but he's not fit for Conte's system. As a backup for Spalletti, he would have been fantastic.

De Paul has enough ball skills to be a decent fit for Inter but then again, it might come down to the system we use now if he's fit for that specifically.

Usually plays in Sensi's position as the LCM in a 352 but has also played as a right winger, left mid, AM and even a forward. To me though, he just seems like an attack-minded midfielder who is relatively comfortable drifting wide and back centrally.

Look at that 90th minute chance Sensi had against Dortmund - he passed vertically to Lautaro who held off his man and laid it off for Politano who laid it off for Sensi to work into space and shoot. Nice vertical passing, nice movement, nice give-and-go stuff through the center.

I feel like in Sensi's absence we've seen a complete inability to attack in this fashion. None of our other midfielders like to really get in between the lines and run at defences. Our other midfielders aren't really built to play in these tight spaces. De Paul could, to a degree, help in this regard. (As could someone like Vidal or Rakitic for that matter)

We won most of the games in Sensi's absence so it's hard to complain, but I daresay a midfield trio of De Paul - Brozovic - Barella is much better than Barella - Brozovic - Vecino/Gagliardini.

At 25, he's not young but not old by any means either. Perfect age. I am 100% in support of signing him if we can get him in on a similar deal to Sensi, say a loan for a small fee or player swap, plus option of ~€25m.

We've bought a lot of "promising" AKA mediocre players at that price point. It's subjective, but I think De Paul has the quality to succeed where the likes of Gagliardini, Vecino, Dalbert, have been inconsistent or underwhelming. He might not be that direct injection of game-winning influence, like Vidal (in theory) but he'd be a good signing IMO.
Yeah, I was just wondering what makes him a target for Inter and you explained it perfectly. I've not seen him play more than 1-2 games and I needed some more information. Thanks.

This is what I thought too hence my question about why him being a target for us?

At this point with Conte we should go for bigger more accomplished players. Sure, we got it right with Sensi but I rather want some quality for the last part of the season that is also a proven quality.

I don't particularly want De Paul here but for a rotation player I think versatility is relatively more important.

Signing experienced DM like Nemanja matic would solve our second half crap show instead of ones like de paul. This would release the likes of brozovic and barella to have more attacking chances too.

I doubt barca would consider loan or sell vidal or rakitic that can possibly strengthen our squad considering that we are still competing aginst them in CL group.

Really not sure if Matic is a fit for any club fighting at the highest level (where we should aim). He is SLOW. Can we afford to have Valero slow player on the pitch?

About Barcelona, by January we know if we're competing in CL or not. Anyway rumors say Marotta is not interested in Rakitic and Vidal is too expensive for him (Conte wants Vidal).

Not feeling good rumors are basically only these names + De Paul. Like you said, help to DM position is more important than additions to offensive positions.

If we don't sign another DM, Brozovic will break down sooner or later. The guy deserves a fucking rest.

Yes, that`s the thing Marotta keeps saying: not many players that can raise our level are available in Winter. Vidal would be probably the most useful transfer in January on LOAN, but it all depends on Barcelona and what we are ready to offer them [1st option signing on Martinez, Skriniar, Sensi?].

De Paul is still at a club that can be tempted into a sale in January. Question is: should we sign him for squad depth jusk to shut Conte up?

I guess the strategy also depends on what are the midfield plans for the summer. Are we finally going to sign the towering midfielder that we all deserve [think SMS/Iličić], or we`re going to settle for Matic? Fuck Rakitic, he seems to have chosen juBentus. I just want to stop having to watch Vecino.

Would be nice to continue our plan and invest in young talented italians [Barella, Sensi] and book Tonali. We should also make an enquiry for Torreira, since Kanté is not available.

Torreira would be huge (since I doubt we can get Allan). He was immense at Arsenal in his first year. Torreira would give a breather for Brozo/Barella. We could rotate all those three, obviously their role would change accordingly who each are playing with but I think Torreira would fit to Inter just perfectly.

Just buy Tonali for 50m€ next summer and loan him back to Brescia or some other lesser Serie A club if Brescia goes back down.

Yea. These cuntes need to figure out what they actually want. None of the fucking midfield reinforcements we've been linked to are even remotely similar. Rakitic, Vidal, Matic etc they're all very different players.

Rakitic is getting a lot of undeserved writing-off simply because he's fallen out of favor, but there's still a class player there. I don't think he's finished.

Personally, I think we need a DM most urgently but I worry that unlike Rakitic, Matic is finished. The reports I'm hearing from Man Utd fans are not very good nor my own feelings when I've watched him in recent months.

    Felipe Melo pt. II anyone?

So what about the Kulusevski kid? Is he a midfielder? If so, very offensive midfielder?

Hell yea, Pulgar and we should also get that one dude Naindolan something

Been thinking about Aranguiz as well. He is nearing another transfer, probably his last season for Bayer. Underrated, very good technique, another true fighter. I could see him do some good things for us tbh.

kulusevski would be awesome, prefer him over De Paul. Problem is he wont be cheap at all. He is kind of hyped, WC potential
