That game was just obscene. If our players have weaknesses (and boy, do they) this game was like a high school talent show where everyone took turns to go on stage and showcase their weaknesses.
As good as Barella is, when it comes to keeping the ball, he is still miles behind the likes of Sensi and Brozovic. He needs to play alongside a distributor, not more workhorses.
Lautaro was 100% bullshit. It's games like this that you need to be smart and economical, not attempt backheels every single pass.
Lukaku was dismal. The self-proclaimed "King of Milan" gave his critics plenty of ammunition with that performance, and his whining just gets worse.
There's nothing more to be said about Vidal, and it goes without saying Gagliardini just can't cut it against elite opponents - but I don't blame him half as much as most. A system should be more than the sum of its parts. You do not need 11 superstars. You can get away with having the odd, mediocre backup like Gagliardini, Young or D'Ambrosio in the lineup if the system bolsters the team. Our system does the exact opposite and exposes everyone. For this, Conte is to blame.
I'm a big believer in allowing players to "do their thing" so to speak. I mean to say, a player should be able to make decisions based on their skills and the way they play. The tactical system should make the most of the players abilities, not rigidly shoehorn them into uncomfortable roles.
Barella for example, has some playmaking qualities, but these are best utilitzed when he has the freedom within his own, natural role to make judgments and take opportunities as he sees them. He is not an out-and-out playmaker, and if you use him this way, he will be exposed.
Lukaku too has some target man abilities and he can do this role in and amongst his other functions. He is not and will never be an outright targetman like Dzeko or Ibrahimovic. Playing him as a target man and focal point of our attack is utterly detrimental to the team and completely misusing the player.
The worst part of all this is the shocking regression shown by the team and coach. We are moving backwards towards caveman football. That godlike first half at Camp Nou is all but a distant memory. Conte needs to answer why the team has gone from attractive, skilled, possession football in his first few months, to obsessive overuse of wings and a target man. I can't begin to describe how big Sensi's absence was to the team in the past 12 months, but one key player missing does not excuse this unrecognizable regression. That to me, is the single biggest issue at the club. The diminishing results are merely a natural byproduct of the decline in quality of football.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Fuck still no rumors about him getting sacked
I suspect they won't come (if at all) until we've successfully clinched 4th place in our CL group.
"Moggi was just a grape in a vineyard of bullshit"
What really bothers me about Conte at the moment is how out of step he is with the reality of what is taking place on the pitch.
I do not know if that is down to him being stubborn, a Gobbo Cunt that wants to wreck our club, willful blindness, pride or all of the above. But what really stands out is how the players he personally selected have been abysmal, how he refuses to see how limited and useless we are performing on the field and he is doing absolutely nothing to address it.
As long as this cunt is still here, better save your Internet bandwidth for meaningful stuff like porn or something![]()
Such a waste of such a good squad.
NON MOLLARE MAI
Great post. I want just to add that this happened with others recent managers as well. Spalletti also started excellent, then the team just stalled on boring possession based football with endless crosses towards Icardi. Mazzari had very promising beginning first couple of games, then again the team regressed badly. Mancini also had a good start when replaced Mazzari in my view. Not in terms of results but the team delivered some nice attacking football, although the defense was poor. Then next season we switched to ugly defensive football.
I think it is temporarily issue and Conte and the players should overcome it but very probable CL exit could have negative impact just like Spalletti's second season, causing a collapse of the team.
And one another point. For me, the team somehow lost the balance. Godin was avarege at the beginning of the season but at the end he gelled well with De Vrij and Bastoni. Biraghi. Young, Cuntdreva and Moses were mediocre but somehow working on the wings. Vidal from other hand didn't bring the balance in the midfield and the issue with Eriksen hurts additionally that department. In that regard the past merkato looks like failure till now.
Spalletti fucked up in the middle since nainggolan got injured so many times and not performing well.. and his only backup was valero (both were false CAM) made us unable to break the oppositions wall trough the middle. Therefore, widemen with abundance number of crosses were his only options.. And Icardi drama was icing on the cake for the whole miserable performance
The way I see it, this is a possible, fairly good scenario we can hope for: we win Serie A and transition as smoothly as possible to Allegri.
The table doesn't look so bad, 5 points from the first spot is not much at this stage of the season.
I like to think that milan is in their best shape and cannot possibly keep this pace in the long term, while hopefully it's the opposite for us and we are slowly going to get better.
The European competitions will play a big role in this: conte, quite simply, doesn't seem to be able to manage two major competitions.
Champions league is almost gone (never say never, but it's very hard to qualify at this point), Europa league is a possibility but to be honest Imho it is not worth the trouble.

Which matches do you feel more, those with Juventus or Milan?

Unfortunately, we won't see him leave until the end of season IMO. I think I wrote it in the season prediction thread, but regardless of how the season goes Conte won't be on the bench for the 21/22 season.
Fingers crossed we win something, then move on to the next loser who will no doubt underperform with us. God this club is misery.

Mudingayi, Schelotto, Rocchi
Gone but not forgotten
I mentioned Allegri because he's a good coach and above all Marotta has probably already picked him as conte's successor.
If there's other good coaches Marotta is willing to consider, by all means.
It's not so much what I hope for (i like Allegri, but I'm not crazy about him), but what I consider a realistic scenario.
And we can definitely win Serie A.

Yeah, if we pull a fluke Scudetto win, Conte is extended and we give him 100m to spend on Marcos Alonso, Ngolo Kante. Edin Dzeko and Armando Izzo.

It's funny, specialy at the end the reaction of Rano and Barella
But anyway, Conte looks really sad but also (of course) pissed off at that last question. I don't like how Mediasset always insist doing this things. It's ok to make questions about this situation but what's the sense to ask him if he get's sacked before Christmas and if the team is playing against him? It's really stupid.
Nel bene e nel male, forza Internazionale!!
