Maybe it's hard to mentally prepare for your job when your own fans are racially abusing you

Seems like it was some ceremony related to Serie A players. Samir and Barella grab some awards. Does anyone know what it was about?

A lowly team's fans caused a fine for their team as they chanted "you are a juventino" at the ref. The sporting judge felt it was a punishable offense... Maybe he should waste less time fining people pointing at the tree and look for the forest.

He sucks!! Juve have been a better team without him. I say this with as little bias as possible.

He's always been wasteful, but his athleticism and talent has allowed him more opportunities than other players. This season he has looked a bit unmotivated and lacking a step. It could just be temporary.

Also, why are these Coppa games with lower division sides always played at home of the Serie A sides? Do they really need the extra help?

If Moratti had his wish, this was his dream partnership for Inter in the late 90s. That would have been such a treat to watch #nostalgia

Lucky? They scored two good goals, hit the bar and missed an open goal. Also their goalkeeper is a fucking monster, those saves he pulled were incredible.

Coppa Italia needs to be revamped totally and there should be no molllycoddling of Serie A teams and there should be straight up knockout games like the FA Cup and the minnows and the lower league clubs should get the chance to cause one off upsets.Calais making the French Cup final against Nantes and other such fairytales should be allowed in football. But Serie A causes so many handicaps to the lower league teams like having these nonsense two legged affairs with most of the big clubs entering so late.Such a pointless bloody tournament. The underdog should be given his chance.

Stuff of dreams really.Wish this happened in Italy too.

Indeed, the Coppa Italia has always been just a silly trophy. It's still a trophy at the end of the day and kudos to Mancini for making us care about winning when we were counting more stolen trophies than trophies actually won.

But teams never really cared about these fixtures unless it was in the semis. When we had double finals sometimes one of them was even redundant.

This will also help the Lega Pro teams. Like Pordenone facing Inter was a huge deal for them. Imagine how great it would be for Serie D teams to have the likes of Bologna, Fiorentina, Torino or even Inter, Milan and Juventus over for an actual official game. The town will become a circus for days. Even if we end up playing with Pirola, Berni, Mulattieri and Gnonto.

If the aim is to avoid Serie A teams faltering to weaker sides at their crap stadiums due to heavy rotation or high Primavera usage, then perhaps they could use a Group format. Another fucked up football federation felt it was a good idea (and personally I think this was a great idea but badly implemented), the Greek one, had a group stage system in the early 2000s. It was very similar to the revamped Uefa CUp in the mid-2000s where they first set up a weird group stage of 5 teams with 3 qualifying or something. Greek Cup had 6 teams in it per group with just 2 qualifying. Which was stupid because they had 9 groups, so they added a silly round for 8 of the teams in order to manage to get it to 16. It was single games until the quarter finals in the first try. Then they switched to 8 groups but still managed to have an extra round for some odd reason which I cannot remember. Then 11 groups with many teams just getting byes.... And then it was gone.

But overall, the concept was good. Random village teams started caring about their own local crap teams instead of simply supporting the big 3 (or +1 if they were in the north). Similar how in Italy everyone is supporting Juventus, Inter or Milan and if you're from the south you're also very likely to support Napoli.

Imo, an ideal concept for Italy would be to have a group stage consisting of 64 groups of 4 teams each, 3 games in total for each team. And a free draw, so no limits of how many Serie A or B teams int he group. So it'd be possible for Inter, Juventus, Lazio and say Mantova to be in the same group. Yes, 64x4. It's hilarious I know, but imagine that this still leaves out 10 teams from Serie D
And only the top team will qualify and then the draw will be made at random, one leg until quarters or semis and then single leg final as it s now. That should spice things up

Inter are the second most supported club in Italy according to a survey from StageUp-Ipsos, the results of which were published in today’s print edition of Milan based news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.StageUp-Ipsos, who have produced such data since 2006, conducted two surveys in recent months to determine who are the best supported football, volleyball and basketball teams in the country with the surveys taking place in June and November. The survey, which was aimed at 14 to 64-year-old’s across Italy, simply asked the respondents, which teams they support in the sports and the survey has shown that the Nerazzurri have 3,976,000 domestic fans, the second most in the country.Reigning Italian champions Juventus are the best supported team with over twice as many fans as the Nerazzurri with the survey saying they have 8,725,000 fans.AC Milan are the third best supported with 3,868,000 fans, Napoli are fourth with 2,783,000 and Roma fifth with 1,895,000 fans.
    8,725,000 morons...
Inter is an artistic venture, almost poetic. It is capable of provoking immense, unreachable joy and bitter disappointment. Its never done by half-measures.
For me, Inter is the opening to new worlds and courage. Its a strong passion, a marvellous illness. You can put up with the weaknesses and admire the courage, the same way you would with a son.

    Rather weird results.

Torino's basketball team allegedly has more fans than the Torino football team.
And so does the Sardinian basketball team (Dinamo Sassari) in comparison to Cagliari.
Same in Bologna but at least their bball team is very successful and their football team is just meh.

These stuff are usually quite off anyway.
