Both Pedulla and Kicker report Gladbach are interested in Lazaro. Pedulla even adds they're a lot closer to Lazaro than Leipzig.

Confirmation from Romano about Lazaro and Gladbach. Their coach, Marco Rose, knows him well as he has already worked with Lazaro in Salzburg.

Leverkusen also interested. If they sell Havertz they can pay the fee straightaway

Wow so there is actually a real market for this guy. We might not take a loss on a flop.

No way that Borussia Mönchengladbach is going to pay 20 millions. They would just take him on loan for a year and will not sign him after that. Hope we get a deal with Leverkusen. They should be able to pay the desired price.

So Mönchengladbach is happening apparently. Strong rumors, but only for loan + option to buy. So same fucking story as always.

What a shitty fucking transfer this was.

Wasn't he wanted by Conte? Or are we blaming ausilio again?

Dunno who to blame but the transfer seem so shitty right now if he ends up on loan with just an option.

    No loan fee either.

Check out the Radja and J-Mao thread soon. We're gonna loan these dudes til they retire, like Longo.

I sincerely hope Rose sees him as a winger and he wants him to challenge Hermann on the right. If he sees him as a rb I am afraid he won't get much playing time. I can't see him benching Lainer.

This is probably the only transfer from last season that was a complete dud. All others were moderate to high successes. Whoever may be responsible, it doesn't matter.

He doesn't look like a conte pick at all. I'd say whoever found the gem that is dalbert is all over this one

"Conte is the man who finally convinced me to come to Milan. He absolutely wanted me and made that clear to me in advance in many phone calls. Conte is a world-class coach, meticulous and a lover of tactics, who takes his players and teams to another level.”
No need to defend Conte, he was Conte's pick.

But as Rockball said, he was the only signing that is a complete dud. It just sucks that we are stuck with him with the infamous loan and option to buy blackhole.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Kicker and others, Lazaro is now set to join Borussia Monchengladbach on loan with option to buy for just under €20m.

The 24-year-old is expected to have his medical in Germany on Monday so that he can begin pre-season training.

Monchengladbach will have a tougher season with CL games and they will not play that well in Bundesliga, thus they will lose their CL spot and don't have money for Lazaro when the season ends. Lazaro comes back to Inter, repeat this shit all over again year from now.

Even without that doomsday scenario, they aren't redeeming an option worth €20M. That would be their second-highest all-time transfer fee (€25M is their top). And that's pre-COVID, and those transfers were all for players who were/are starters. Lazaro won't be starting for Gladbach. Any of the positions he might play are already occupied by better players.

So unless he just has an absolutely incredible season (and even then...), that redemption fee will never be picked up.

And we keep losing money by the amortization cost for the coming season. Apparently there won't be any loan fee. Should be something, even like 2m€.
