old brehme would've hated you for this comment. It's like watching present brehme backstab past brehme but in a nice way.

    i've said this before.
If a player is strong physically and fast = low iq.
If a player is slow and weak = high iq.

Whatever you wanna call it. His anticipation, overpowered or misdirected passes, lack of sense of his surroundings (when waiting for a pass in the box as an example).

Though exception for the latter, that first goal yesterday was nice movement, beat Zapata 100%.

Also what was up with the vein-tapping goal celebration? This guy always seems so vengeful with his celebrations, he never looks happy.

His goal was dedicated to his brother. I think it was his birthday.

in america they do this too and for white athletes if they can run they are "deceptively athletic" even if the player looks shredded like a tekken fighter

Maybe it was a way of saying "you're my flesh and blood", or something like that.

    👍

As others said, he does not have low football iq, just technique and overal agility. But you cannot have it all. If he had it too, he would be the best striker in history of football with the same potential as Adriano (he indeed had it all, but poor luck in life). Conte took him for his physique, not technique. He likes his technique in a team to come from other places it seems. It's just coaches vision. Next 2 years will judge Conte on this choice.

The main objection with Lukaku's transfer is that his peak was ruined at Man Utd and his prime will probably be cut short once he's around 30. This type of players never survive very long at the tip level and don't forget that Lukaku has been around since he was 16.
He has at best 2 more seasons in his prime, even if he stays fully professional, trains all day and doesn't get fat again.

He is just too heavy and lacks some basic skills on the ball to be effective long term. He's very reliant on his frame and physical ability (acceleration, strength etc). That is not sustainable after a certain point.
As long as he keeps fit he can be of help for the next 2 seasons but I don't think expect him to improve. His production will probably decline from next season.

Has Lukaku playing resembled Zlatan's playing one bit? Apart from the size? Dzeko goes to same category as Zlatan, Lukaku doesn't fit to that category AT ALL.

i can answer for myself only of course. when i criticize him (which obviously i didn't do after the genoa match) it's because i believe he can do better than what he's already doing (unlike some other users who believe he's already reached his ceiling).
