So this guy basically waved goodbye to ~20m just so he could play for Inter?

Its not clear right now but I dont think so. 7m net for 3 years gives you 21m net euros. In the UK with bonuses he would have been about 25m net for the next 2 years so like 27m net euros. He's given up maybe 6m and extended his playing career a year. That's assuming no payout from united

As per reports there is payout from ManUtd but no one mentioned how much. So year end financial report might mention how much.

It's combination of player taking paycut, payout from ManUtd, Inter committing wages for 3 years.

Its probably a meet in the middle, tbh. Sanchez gets 21m from Inter, 3-5m from United, United write down his book value and save 45m in wages next two years. Everyone wins.

UK salaries are reported pre-tax unlike Italy, in the UK Sanchez makes £500k/week, so about £25mil a year (pre-tax). Tax is, near enough, 45% for Sanchez, so cut it in half.

I have a friend (and brehme) who claims that Man U is paying him something. We'll see how things turn out.

In his third year he will probably be a sub of sub or something like that (that if he doesn't go on loan elsewhere). So i consider this to be a 10'5 wage per year for 2 years.
Yeah too bad he didn't come directly from Udinese. Could have been someone very important for the club historically.

The pay off from Man Utd is reportedly between £5m and £10m.

Yeah makes more sense that United pays some severance pay than Alexis leaving money on the table.

So this went pretty much how we estimated here, only thing was the net salary we gave him which was a bit north of our projections in this thread.

Neverthess excellent deal and win-win-win for all the parties involved.

I dont get why people, especially Manucians ease themselves as win-win-win. I see only TWO wins here: 1 win for us getting a great player for free, 1 win for Sanchez continuing to play at top level, and a cut loss for ManU after a horrible investment

Thats a fact, just accept it.

Yeah you can think it that way too, but in terms of just thinking the current situation and not the whole case Sanchez at United, it's a win for them too. They got away with having to pay 50m€ in two years time to a player they can't basically use because he was useless for them. They needed to pay severance pay and take capital loss but avoided that enormous salary payment.

He is a speed demon... don’t think he has 3 more years in the tank. Also 7 million net.....

Lautaro agent is already going to be like give us that. Not our problem he made a billion at United. No other team
Wants him and no other team can afford his wages. We need to be more stingy when it comes to wages
    VAR is some serious Bullshit!

If we loan Nainggolan until his contract runs out would you see it a "win" for us too?
